Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$0.05/$0.1 No-Limit Hold'em (9 handed)

Known players:
[tg]CO$9.08:///////;BU$1.85:///////;SB$1.60:///////;BB(Hero)$1.85:///////;UTG1$1.11:///////;UTG2$3.97:///////;MP1$4.76:///////;MP2$2.74:///////;MP3$1.15:///////;[/tg]

Preflop: Hero is BB with 5:h, 8:d.
UTG1 folds, UTG2 calls $0.10, 2 folds, MP3 calls $0.10, CO folds, BU calls $0.10, SB folds, Hero checks.

Flop: ($0.45) Q:s, 9:s, 8:s (4 players)
Hero checks, UTG2 checks, MP3 checks, BU checks.

Turn: ($0.45) 8:h (4 players)
Hero bets $0.45, UTG2 folds, MP3 calls $0.45, BU folds.

River: ($1.35) J:s (2 players)
Hero bets $0.60, MP3 calls $0.60.

Final Pot: $2.55.

Results follow:

MP3 shows a flush, queen high(7s 6c).
Hero shows three of a kind, eights(5h 8d).

MP3 wins with a flush, queen high(7s 6c).

On the river I'm thinking, if I check - he would try to bluff me out
with air or he actually has a better hand, which is a lose-lose for me either
way since I can't call here.
But if I bet here, he wouldn't dare to execute a bluff and
would maybe even fold a weak flush or if he re-pops me here,
I would know for sure I'm beat and have an easy fold ... ooor ?

Hey StaticMoth,

you did well bet pot size on the turn.

On the turn it's best to just c/f the hand when there are 4 :spade: on the board and you have none. I don't expect him to bluff too often on this river and he will usually just check behind low flushes or some non-flush made hands.
