So I've been convinced by my friends that I'm a pretty good poker player, and figure hearing what other people think of the game should significantly improve mine.

My poker experience is surprisingly quite limited (to facebook poker lol), but I have picked up a whole lot just from seeing what other people do, and I think poker kinda comes naturally. Poker intrigues me and I'm always wondering what other players are thinking whilst playing.. After recently registering to Pokerstars and (surprisingly) winning the first tournament I played ($93 in a freeroll), I've decided to continue playing poker online. PokerStrategy looks like a good place to start, and hopefully I will start playing on Full Tilt once I get my $50 starter bonus!

Wow, nice result - unless you hold quad 8s obv. :f_cool:

Make sure you read the strategy articles and implement this information as much as possible into your game.

Also, there is a poker hand converter available at PS.com which will convert your Full Tilt hands into code that can be posted directly into your forum posts (handy for using the hand evaluation forums).

Good luck.. look out for MonkeyOnFire down there in Dunedin.. he's a PS.com member from Hamilton at Otago Uni too who had a job at the Casino this year.
