again i think u played it fine. u had the 2nd nuts and were getting better than 3:1 on the call. imo u have ATLEAST 25% equity here.

I'd fold preflop vs a total unknown as long as i don't have a reason like a big fish in the blinds.
But a call might be ok, maybe folding is a bit too tight.

At the flop i'd definitely bet.
I want to find out whether he gives up on this kind of board or not.
I expect him to fold a decent amount of the time, so the bet is almost certainly +EV - and if he doesn't fold you know his cbettingrange is a bit weaker than usual because he checks some medium (or even strong) hands.

Checking would be to give up btw, you're basically drawing to 3 outs so i don't consider my draw to be very helpful here.

I think so, yes.
He can definitely 3bet the straight himself so you have some equity because of the split pots.
You only need to win 23% of the time or split 46% to make this a good call.

He's still bluffing sometimes, he would also cbet AJ on the flop sometimes - so raising and calling this small 3bet is fine.
