Hi !

I'm Manuel from Argentina, 21 years old micro stakes grinder
I've decided to start a blog to help me get more comitted with this and force me to keep improving; to watch videos, read articles, post and discuss hands, etc.

I started playing in june 2009, deposited 70$ on stars and started playing sss nl10. Since then i've played sss up to nl50, STT up to 12$, MTT up to 24$ and bss up to nl50 (fr).
Currently i'm playing nl50 fr and some mtts. I'ts on my plans to start playing sh and even hu, but there's still a long way to go :f_cool:

So thats about enough for an introduction i guess !

I'm gonna try to follow a couple directions from now on:

:diamond: Play 3k hands a day (probably 2 or 3 sessions).
:diamond: Post all interesting hands after every session.
:diamond: Read 1 article a day (not limited to PS material).
:diamond: Watch 2 videos a day (again, vids from other sites too).
:diamond: Update the blog daily and make kind of weekly and monthly summaries.

Let's see how it goes

thx Bart, will do my best to keep it interesting

1/1/2010

nasty day on the tables to welcome the year and my first blog :P KK vs AA allin pre on 2 tables at the same time, QQ/AK vs AA on blinds a couple more times, flopped flushes, flopped straights, freerolls, everything !

somehow i managed to make a profit though _cool:

didnt really play my A game either as u can probably assume by looking at the red line heheh :f_biggrin: trying to steal and cbet stations and isolating some other weak passive fish, that are probably not folding too much either, with less than ideal hands and even oop sometimes..
gotta get some sleep :f_ugly:

:spade: only semi interesting hand that came up (well, not so much really):

NL50 FR AK vs tag open co, maniac sb 4b shove

:spade: some of the ugly stuff:

:f_cool:

the disaster that started at hand ~2500 was against 2 40/20 fishes. one minraises utg then 4bet ships 200bb with aces when i had kings and i'm of course never folding them against such monkey. then kings again, iso one of the fishes, he flops top 2 on a really wet board and just check/calls flop and turn, river check/raises x2 :f_ugly: couple of hands later same guy calls my 3bet with tens and flops quads when i had kings. calls flop, calls turn, donks river :O
anyways i managed to stay focused and luckily everything got back on track pretty quickly ;D

today i watched 3 vids:
http://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/7543
http://www.pokerstrategy.com/video/8029
plus one ond CR (can't post link right?)

didn't read anything

gonna post just a couple of hands, tomorrow i'll post some on the evaluation forum and edit here with the links.

i'm starting to notice i have to be more selective with my agression. today i stole a bit less than usual, did my best to adapt to every table, and the result is rather nice.

got to go now, tomorrow i'll post hands from today's and yesterday's sessions ;)

bye !

Hey!

Very impressive blog I must say. However I would post hands in the handevalutation forums if I was you! Your betsizes looks a bit awkward to me most of the time. You need to bet for more value and protection imo!

Anyway that's just a tip

Good luck on the tables,
