Anything I could have done different? Maybe just shoved the river first?

Hi,

I'd jam the river, board isn't that good for us but we have idea whether he'll bet busted clubs on the river or if he even have those, so we can't risk him checking back worse Ax hands for the sake of bluff-catching against bluffs that might never come. It's obviously possible he has us beat with two pairs or a straight, but with 1/2 potsize bet left we can't fold anyway, so it's better to make sure we stack worse hands and accept the losses when we're behind.
