of course it's relevant to poker. it's relevant to everything people do.... and they do quite a lot.

i think that is very relevent to poker and very interesting, everyone i read i thought, i know someone like that.

the one maybe most relevant to poker is the ESCALATION OF COMMITMENT, (other than the obvious GAMBLERS FALLACY).
when uve commited to much to the pot and feel the need to see it out til end and like it says sometimes its just better to cut your losses and walk away.

Nice post. Especially the self-fulfilling prophecy affects me a lot in poker.


very interesting.

I especially like the parts about the placebo effect and self-fulfilling prophecy. They really show the powerof the mind. If you truly believe in something then it will happen, as long as it's possible in your mind ofcourse. And the prophecy shows the power of positive thinking.

I should work on that more xD try to think move positive during downswings..

And i think most of us have a gamblers falacy. When your 50 BI's below EV you expect to have an upswing, but in fact that's just as rare as getting the 50 BI downswing..
