Unknown villian. Is this always a fold on the river to unkown - even tho i get okish odds? I need to stop making these kind of calls actually - idk why i do - curiosity probably.

Hi,

Yes i'm pretty much always folding, he's never bluffing, and while it's possible he wrongly slowplayed a worse set/two pairs hand that way, it's also possible he'd have raised them somewhere along the way. However it's a pretty common line for him to play all of his Tx range in position.

I feel you on the "curiosity calls" problem, I used to do that a lot. Mostly learning and knowing if i was right or not was more important to me than the money, so i ended up paying off pretty often just to prove i shouldn't have. In time you'll learn to trust your instincts and hand-reading skills in those spots, when you don't have any reason to think villain is spazzy, he'll just have the nuts all day long. And with confidence in your game comes the glory (or so they say), hang in there
