No-Limit Hold'em, $0.50 BB (9 handed)

SB ($65.80)
Hero ($10.75)
UTG ($21.55)
UTG+1 ($18)
MP1 ($53.45)
MP2 ($43.55)
MP3 ($56.25)
CO ($49.25)
Button ($51.50)

Preflop: Hero is BB with 7♥, Q♣.
3 folds, MP2 calls $0.50, 3 folds, SB completes, Hero checks.

Flop: ($1.50) 4♥, 4♠, Q♥ (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Turn: ($1.50) 6♦ (3 players)
SB bets $0.5, Hero raises to $1.5, MP2 calls $1.50, SB calls $1.

River: ($6) 5♥ (3 players)
SB checks, Hero checks, MP2 checks.

Final Pot: $6

OK, after my last "Top Pairs in the BB" thread, I should probably know better...

After the flop got checked around I figured I'd take a cheap stab at the pot and give up if I got 3-bet or called. Was this OK, or is it still just check/fold here?

Thanks,
Kknight

Bet on the Flop here and hope to at least eliminate the player behind you. You have Top Two. Only a 4, QQ or KQ and AQ beat you right now.

Even with no kicker??? QJ, QT, Q9, and Q8 also beat me. That's why I checked the flop. The only reason I stabbed at the turn was because I figured nobody else likely held a Q or a 4 after the flop action.

Thanks,
Kknight

P.S. - The fish in the SB completed with 64o  I probably should have made a note on him. I guess he was hoping to check-raise me on the river, because I don't know what he would've been scared of to just check it down.

Ah you´re right with Q8 etc. beating you as well. But still I would bet. Often they both fold and otherwise you know that you have to be suspicous.

Like played I would be done with that hand on the River anyway after MP2 coldcalled on the Turn.
