Wasn't really sure what to do, was thinking about checking turn back but then decided to bet out and then it came, his raise, am I calling such a raise? Or more likely should would, not really sure what to do, seems that my equity is pretty low here.

With a set and nut flushdraw you're 40/60 against a straight, so can definately call a ship.
Checking behind is interesting. On one hand, he's getting a free card with his OESD. On another, he will find it hard to fold his straight if river pairs the board.
I would never check this behind thou since turn brought a nut flushdraw.
If he has top set - he has it, standard.

I also think it is fine, although he has there straight quite often, he can also c/rai with two pair or some kind of combo draw

+1 , fwiw we never have "pretty low equity" with a set+nutFD against any reasonable range.
