[Closed] What is your learning - playing ratio?

I actually think my ratio is AT LEAST 1:2.. maybe even closer to 1:1.. I spend alot of time on different forums, posting/discussing hands, watching your videos and getting coached.. Just jumped to SSS to make some fast pp's though (will get gold so you can be happy soon Puschkin 9-tabling NL25 surely produces some faster PP's than 4-tabling NL10 ), so my ratio will probably be worse until I have gathered the points I need, since there aren't so many decisions to analyse as in BSS, which I usually play. Will still keep reading some strategy for BSS in between my SSS sessions, so I don't think my ratio will get worse than 1:2,5 - 1:3.

Hi Puschkin81...

Congratulations on your excellent article. It woke me up. I was falling into the trap of playing a lot, trying to increase my bankroll (that lately took a beating) and getting nowhere.
Changed course already. I only play at the most two tables, which allows me to practise the opponents hand reading and I´m now spending at least two hrs a day re-reading articles and going to forums.
It is amazing how when you re-read some article you pick up a lot of details you had missed before.
The setback is, that playing less tables it will be very difficult to reach the necessary PS point to go to Gold status, particularly on Titan where the ratio PS/Titan makes points grow very slowly.
Anyhow it is probaby better to go slowly but surely

Since I also play when I learn, my ratio is 2:1, because the time I´m in the forum evaluating hands I only learn but do not play.

Mine is around 1:2. Say 3-5 hours reading/thinking and 7 hours playing per week.

I study so much I never get around to paying ♦
No really, I tend to do studying and playing in bursts, a few weeks of studying followed by a few weeks of playing. I often take longer breaks from playing when I have too much on my mind to play well but make sure I regurlarly read and think during these times so I'm going to toss it at 3-1 learning-studying :).

I think i'm about even. Learning for a while then putting it into practice for about just as long.

i watch some poker shows. its not very educational though ♦
