Hand converted with online PokerStrategy.com hand converter:

Play hand

$1/$2 Fixed-Limit Hold'em (6 handed)

Preflop: Hero is CO with J:c, T:h.
2 folds, Hero raises, 2 folds, BB 3-Bets, Hero calls.

Flop: (6.5 SB) T:d, 5:c, K:c (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

Turn: (4.25 BB) 8:h (2 players)
BB bets, Hero calls.

River: (6.25 BB) A:h (2 players)
BB bets, Hero folds, BB gets uncalled bet back.

Final Pot: 6.25 BB.
River is the only card I don't want to see. I can't call there the pot is too small and his range beats me always.

Hi!

Yap I like it.You only beat 99 which would most probably not bet the river.

What about raising the turn ? Villain will fold AQ, AJ which could make an overpair in the river. A middle PP, 77-99 can also pay us and we will have a free showdown in the river.

Villain won't fold AQ an AJ, at least he shouldn't, giving the pot odds and likelyhood all his 7 outs are good + some chance he has the best hand because of the possibility you are raising him with a flush draw or open ender.

Thanx for the discussion tomzyb.

I would indeed fold AJ, AQ if raised to me unless it was from a very aggressive villain. I count only 4 outs to an straight. Aces should be discounted since you are drawing dead to hands like A8, AT, KT, 55, 88 with its reverse odds.

Also your straight draw may have only 3 outs because of the flush draw.

I would not count much on AJ AQ here since he should play c/c on the turn most of the time for the fact that he cant fold them to a raise.

Also even if you give him AQ AJ you are still a slight dog against his quite decent BB 3bet range....and there is no point in protecting a hand that is most likely not the best HU

If you plan on raising I would do it on the flop so you indice calldowns from AQ AJ,worse pockets and to prevent him going into turn c/c. But against unknwon I preffer very solid SD bound line to get a read what he is 3betting from BB( which I would assume is quite strong and very SD bound)
