hhello! would like to ask a couple questions:

what can we expect from pokerstrategy in the coming months/years?

like a fellow pokerstrategist MBLM mentioned, the blackmember for now is clearly has less incentives for players not living in europe. any plans for pokerstrategist living in other regions? specifically asia?

is pokerstrategy open to future business cooperation?

how can one buy a share in pokerstrategy?

For the basics, I will just quote a part of a recent company-internal newsletter:

Dear Colleagues,

another quarter is over - and these first three months of 2010 certainly felt fast. This month, we are breaking the 150 mark in our employee count here in Gibraltar.

• we try to improve service quality in both the customer service tickets and the forum
• we work hard to always fulfill our promotions policy and make sure you all don't have any monetary disadvantages by playing tracked on PokerStrategy.com

A lot of stuff happens in the background, sadly often without a direct result for a member like you. One big example of the recent 18 months would be our constant fight against fraud - which we need to take in order to continue to be able to provide starters with free $50 (as you all - or at least most of you - also profited from this, you know that this is a key thing).

Also the past quick growth and the problem of having 18 languages at the same time is an enormous challenge. From 5 guys and 1 server up to 150 guys + IT and 50 servers is a challenge in itself.

But blah blah aside, to your more specific questions:

You are right that it's more inconvenient for non-Europeans to attend a BM event. For one, we are compensating for this with the travel cost support for long-haul flights.

Secondly, we will have local VIP events (initally for Diamonds, but if it's 40 Chinese BMs, we will certainly do a BM party in Macau ;)).

is pokerstrategy open to future business cooperation?

Could you specify what you aim at?

With regards to poker, we will continue to add operators as partners that are good for the player and the market. Like we did with PKR some time ago.

how can one buy a share in pokerstrategy?
Not possible, as PokerStrategy.com is a private company

If you are interested in stocks that are related to online poker:

since it occur to me that you are pretty much a logic person, i would like to know of your opinion on the impact pokerstrategy has on the "poker economy"
as we all know, pokerstrategy has a business model that focuses strongly on poker education. how do you think this will shape the "poker economy" if pokerstrategy continues to expand vastly?
i'm thinking along the lines of a school in a pond converting baby fishes into sharks; in straightforward terms, the tilting equilibrium of fish and sharks.

well, i really love your reply hence i'm threw another random one, hope it doesn't take up too much of your time or at least you get paid to do so(replying while at work )!

haha, yes i know it's private, if ever going public, please offer pokerstrategist shares first before launching IPO! LOL if it is even in anyway possible

I'm pretty convinced that if you take the first few hundred PokerStrategists, a lot of them will be big winners & Black Members today. But that was when everyone was hand-picked.

That massively changed and from all what the operators tell us (we do not get deposit/cashout data directly) we know that today, we are a 'contributing affiiate' in the sense that the players we bring are 'ecologically balanced'.

Nowadays, PokerStrategy.com hands out tens of thousand of $50 bankrolls every month. With Tell-A-Friend, we incentivise thousands of members to do their chore for popularising poker.

Most of these new players just do not have the will / energy / ambition to become winning players - now matter how good the education is you offer to them. You yourself know that even with the best videos & articles it's hard work to become a sustainable winning player.

Small example: can you imagine someone who never posts here in the forum to be a winner? Of course, some might be. But in average? Just about 10% of all new Free $50 recipients even do even just a single post in the forums. [Pretty sure way fewer than deposit own money.] After a few months, it's just a mere 2% of them still being active in the forums.

So if you look here at the forum, you have a very restricted view on the players PokerStrategy.com generates. The community (i.e. this forum, the VIP events etc.) are just a small share of what we nowaday generate as poker players.

Plus, I'm pretty sure we're a big contributor to market making. In average, the Russian poker player is losing money just like his peers from Finland or Canada. And without poker being popular due to success stories, there would not be so many players. But of course, due to selective perception, you see more 'good Russian shortstackers, all brought by PokerStrategy.com' than all the recreational players we generate & that are generated in new markets as soon as poker reaches a certain base-popularity there.

Poker in general is still growing, and in markets like Japan, China or India, it's just beginning now. I personally am upbeat about the market, currently.
