Hero checks, BTN bets $0.61, Hero calls $0.61

Turn: 8♠ ($2.45, 2 players)

River: Q♥ ($2.45, 2 players)

Vs the same 'is crazy and raises all buttons' maniac.

I thought about check/raising the flop but his half pot bet was something I haven't seen before therefore I just called.

He checks back turn which again smells wierd. On one hand, maybe he figured that if I'm not folding flop, I am willing to go all the way, so c-betting half pot and giving up later would be cheaper for him. On another hand, maybe it's a typical maniac 'omg I finally flopped something' play.

River is not important, and he half pots again. Given then fact that he's crazy, is it smart to call the river? I am good sometimes + I get information on his play, but his half pot is strange and wasn't executed before.

Ideas?

no position, a bad pair and a really bad FD makes it an easy fold. I guess river call is ok against a guy so bluffy.
