River: ($3,85) J♥

Final Pot: $3,85

Is there anything I did wrong, or did he get lucky hitting his J on the river?

When u called his bet on the flop u win this situation 85% of the times, he was just lucky hitting his J, the only card that saves him. The more u play the more u will see this 85% works. U should always think about decision that u made not the result. It's the result that makes u angry in that moment but the right decisions (like this one) will make your bankroll bigger in the long term.

Good to see that you´re sticking to the strategy now. When you have more experience with the SSS you might be able to adjust your play besides the strategy thats in the PS.cc articles, but then your adjustments will be for the better good. :)

But for that you have to play much more hands where you stick to the basics. ;)

So keep it up. :)


Personally I would have folded on the flop because I didn't hit and Im not going to chase a pair. Especially after a big bet like that.


it's a good call because you have pot odds and the pot is bigger than your stack
