MP has been playing like a rock for most of early game. VPIP:14 PFR:12 calls 3bet: 13.6%

my stats for the sng VPIP: 18 PFR: 14 call 3bet: 8.1%

MP is a regular multitabler at this limit (9 max 2.25 BI's)

am I right in thinking this call is too wide, or do the blinds and eff stacks justify it?

according to HEM the $ev diff is -$0.98 which is pretty significant.

I expect he can have: AK,AQ,AJ,AT,A9s/o,A8s
KQ,KJ,MAYBE KTs
66+ or 77+

I call with: 88+,AK,AQ,AJs

is HEM speaking truth or is this actually a positive expected scenario. if so, how can I determine when HEM is incorrect?

he has to be pushing at least A8o+,44+,KJs+ for you to call with AQs

and imo, this is going to be a very marginal call

this is a spot where you have to be tight against a rock who shoves 8-10BB from early position.

if you have some kind of read that he shoves A8o or 44 here then you can definitely make a good call here with AQs. but without a specific read and just stats i would fold because its way too marginal and you can find a better edge in later hands.

Herein lies the problem with stats. If he's a multitabler of course he's going to look like a "rock" in the early stages. However he probably isn't too tight later in the game (or else he'd be a losing player and thus probably not playing multiple tables). So I call AQs here. But that said I don't call much worse (maybe AQo as well).
