and with KQo and 4 players to act behind us this is a close fold.

The problem is though that the ICM trainer light and the ICM trainer would both say to push this hands down...

I kow it is just a rough guide for ranges but it specifically tells you as a rule of thumb to push broadways in these situations.

I don't agree with that, because the game does not work that way yet. With pushing pre-flop, you generally decrease your fold equity, because most people are suddenly more interested to call you at these levels when you go all-in.

that makes no sense at all.

pushing 11BB always has more FE than raising 3x thats the basic logic of raise sizing.

by making a 3x raise you are pot committing yourself. This means that after raising you can never fold due to the size of the pot and your remaining stack. the odds you lay yourself are too great to give up on any flop.

This leads to the logical conclusion that pushing your remaining stack in pre-flop or folding is the only reasonable play with your remaining stack, because you are committed anyway.

I agree with you that my pre-flop decision was to put all my chips in the pot or none, I disagree that FE would be higher by putting all the chips in the pot. I'm playing those limits for quite a while now, and from my experience people are more eager to call if they can knock somebody out.

As played I shove.

But I'd say either minraise preflop or just push/fold. Push/folding is much better on these limits.
