[Closed] SH 33 Turnplay

I like a raising war here. I 3bet to around $40. If he is raising with air here he usually gives up anyway - if we call. Ideally he thinks we have a weakish hand that maybe he can get us off by shoving, thereby making the biggest mistake.

Also if we 3bet small and he has Jx or J9 etc he won't often find a fold and we can get the resting on the River pretty easily.

First of all I think checking preflop is an option.

On the flop I'd bet $8 for value.

On the turn (as played) I make it $14.

Once he minraises I would also go for a small 3bet.
Calling lets him draw cheaply and if he has a weak to medium hand it will be very hard to extract value anyway - you'd basically have to lead out on the river (obv he's folding a lot to a big riverbet).

Furthermore if he's bluffing there's still a decent chance he interprets your call OOP as strength and does not follow through with a barrel on the river.

Imo clicking it back would be a bit too small, he gets the odds for almost any draw.
I like the $40 Tim mentioned, imo it looks slightly weaker than min3betting and you'll have $50 left in a $100 pot so you can easily shove the river.
