Hello. My name is Bogdan,i'm 18 and i am from Romania. I decided to start this blog because this would be a good motivation for me to take poker seriously.

Here is my story: i started to play poker 1year ago. I played only homegames, and everytime i tried to give shots on the online pkr(because i never respected the bankroll management) i failed. I got some hands played on 50nl(like 10k) ,on 25nl(like 15k),on 10NL(12k),5NL(5k), 2NL(20k). The only limit i was capable to beat was 2NL because i respected BRM.2months ago i decided to start playing not just for fun ,because i know i am good at this game.:P I read almost all the articles from here, from other forums, watched videos but haven't played because i had the BAC exam (when you finish high-school).

Now that i am done with the exam i want to play poker for a long period and i want to keep this blog up to date.

I will start with 10NL with a bankroll of 250$. I will play at least 1k hands/day because i am playing 4-6 table of 6max for the begging.

Goals:
Short term(July)-20days: get my BR to 400$ and play 25k hands
Long term(till 1jan 2011-not so long:)) ) - reach 100NL

I will play at least 4hours/day and i will study every session and watch some videos too. I would like to find here some players which are playing the micros too and would like to discuss with them give/receive advices and so on. I will update this blog i hope daily and i hope you will be a kind of professors to me:)
Let's go!

Hey Bogdan, nice intro!

I'm from Romania too and i'll recommend you to watch the videos in my challenge "move it move it up to the sky" with TwiceT. The series starts from nl10 and it might help you. Also check out our blog for more info

Some advices from what i've experienced so far:

- stick to 4 tabling..it's sooo much better and helpfull even though boring sometimes
- even when you fold, if there's some interesting action going on the table watch it and take notes, see the opponents range and use it in your advantage.
- review your sessions and post a lot of hands, it can't do harm to you (i still lack here :f_confused: )
- and least but not last think about every decision you make @ the tables. Don't just bet cuz you feel like, you must have a purpose. think about what your opponents holdings might be, what can pay you, if you have a value betting, why are you betting, raising, and so on.

As a conclusion, the best advice is to think :f_biggrin:

I will follow your progress, good luck :f_cool:

oh btw: don't set money goals or even think about them and any staff that has to do with money like checking your winnings/losts and stuff cuz you'll really fail.

Thanks for the advices man:) .I'm happy that someone is watching my progress. I had some problems and haven't played so much first day ,like 700hands 4table-ing.

It was a bad session because i was hunting a fish with 70/55 on 150hands and it seems that he got me. I lost 4BI.. i had top 2pairs ,he made his flush; i had AQ he called all the raises on a flop like Q 9 5 .He had 97 off and hit the 7 on the river. I won't discuss that hands but i will post another hands because i don't think i made the right decisions.

Easy fold here?

The first case I don't think you could have done anything different with the opponent you were dealing with, he could have a pair, only two pair or even a draw with such high vpip. In most cases of his range you were ahead or had a redraw ie vs. 2 pair, and other pair gave you two pair, vs. pair or draw you were ahead.

In the second case, probably not the best idea to call unless vs. a maniac. Most people don't shove at random. I'd give up AA without a problem to most weird shoves like that unless I've got reads that villain is a bluffer.

Hello,

If you are just starting out then you should stick to FR games because variance is lower. As you freely admit you are making mistakes, stop playing so many tables.

Also, run your hands through a HH convertor and it's much easier for the reader to follow, and if you really want a review on your hands then yuo should try the Hand evaluation section of the forum where the professional hand judges will be happy to help you out.

Good luck :)

Bogdan, find a hand converter, pokerstrategy has one here . Otherwise few people will look at the hands, because they are hard to read.

Also, you can use the hand evaluation forum, there you will surely get an answer.

Good luck with your ascension! _thumbsup:

Depending on the player I call this. You beat some worst 2 pair. QQ/KK don't realy make sense. JT min raising? Pocket 66 are possible. I think 1:3 is usually profitable here.

By the way, if you need advice with the hands, you'll get it quicker in the hand evaluation forums.

I know is better to post on the evaluation hands thread but i post here too just some interesting hands to keep this blog up.:P
