Now i did something against SSS rules here. I had the bullets and i did't raise or push all-in right away. I checked to a raise because i didn't want to scare off the limpers. Was this smart, and generally should a person do this? Or should i have raised and taken the chance of scaring off everyone and settling for a smaller pot?

In this situation it might not have mattered. Looked like those guys wanted the action anyways, but just something i was thinking about.

you should raise it instead. If you just call you will give your opponents better odds to call with some worse hands, which would then have a chance to draw out on you = They will fold if they miss and you won't win anymore or they will take your money if they hit.. Of course this can't be said so specifically, since some people might go ll the way with hands worse than your pair of aces, but still you should avoid making such play.

Another aspect of this is that your opponents will notice that you got a premium hand when you coldcall (note: You will NEVER limp or coldcall with anything according to the SSS).

Anyway, keep playing, and try to stick as much to the strategy as possible.

Best regards,
Mugge

Makes sense. Thanks for the reply :)

Go All-In here preflop after the raise from early position. This often means that your opponent has a strong hand and will often call your all-in here anyway. And with Aces you want to have all your money in on the table and being HU.
