[Closed] 87 2nd barrel?

I dont really like the flop bet, because I dont want to get checkraised by flush draw, or as a bluff. I'll just rather check as potcontrol, and allow opponent to bluff small on the turn if he so wishes. Maybe if has an ace I catch something nice on the turn and get paid of, instead of getting checkraised of my hand on flop. Ofcourse the downside is he sometimes draws out on me with hands he would have folded on the flop, but that doesnt really happen often enough to justify the bet.

Anyways, after betting flop. Opponent could have.. Ax, small or medium pocket pair, flush draw. Maybe straight draw, 7x, 5x. Its unlikely opponent has bigger pocket pair than 66. Hero is cant improve against aces anyways, so getting check-raised here by Ax is irrelevant. As long as opponent doesnt have Ax hero gains by betting, with the exception of some whacky OOP floats by opponent where he steal his chance to bluff by now betting. If opponent has a stronger 7, hero still splits very often. Not to mention 7x is kinda unlikely.

In any case, easy bet on the turn.

bet turn (for value and protection) & obv. fold to a raise, check river behind or fold if he leads on river, and btw raise 3x preflop imo

I prefer to bet on this flop because a A high board is everytime a good board to contibet
also an A high board is no good board to c/r as bluff, because u wont fold ur A and he wont raise, if he hold the A
no player c/f A9 on this baord and wait for ur push ... he just turn a medium hand in a bluff

on turn I prefer to cb and call most river
He wont fold a better made hand on turn
he will call draws, but draws have 20-35% equity again u ... so overall ur not ahead against his callingsrange
