No-Limit Hold'em, $0.25 BB (9 handed)

UTG ($27.50)
Hero ($5)
MP1 ($25.30)
MP2 ($24.25)
MP3 ($20.40)
CO ($23.65)
Button ($7.35)
SB ($22.75)
BB ($24.65)

Preflop: Hero is UTG+1 with Q♥, Q♣.
1 fold, Hero raises to $1, MP1 raises to $4, 6 folds, Hero raises to $5, MP1 calls $1.

Flop: ($10.35) 4♦, K♠, 6♠ (2 players)

Turn: ($10.35) 7♣ (2 players)

River: ($10.35) 9♥ (2 players)

Final Pot: $10.35

My losing streak with QQ is starting to border on statistical insanity. Especially since I'm all-in preflop almost every time. I'm about ready to check the auto-fold button any time I get dealt QQ...I'm not even sure it is a hand that is worth stealing with from the button!!! [/SARCASM]

Its not like its bulletproof

i also hearrd someone about this, but then with kk. Come on, get over it, just play it like any man with balls would do...

What is with the rude comments? I didn't claim it was bulletproof, nor do I think it is. I also did not play it weakly. I just commented that I've been on a ridiculous losing streak with QQ. No reason to be jerks about it.

Thanks anyway,
Kknight

P.S. - I was also being sarcastic in my comments about QQ being a terrible hand...as I clearly pointed out.

Keep calm buddy, you´re on a bad streak right now, but after rain will be sunshine. ;) So keep your head high and do not loose your believe. You made the right decision.

I had the same kind of run with KK not so long back. I lost 7 of 8, only once to AA, the rest to worse starting hands. The one that really broke me was just after I'd doubled up, playing SSS, and got KK the very next hand. I pushed it, not really even wanting to play it, and got a call from A9s in clubs. Great. Two clubs on the flop, a third on the turn, then his flush became a straight flush on the river, not that it mattered, but I felt punished. It is terrible when a premium hand makes you feel sick in the stomach before you even play it.

It comes good. QQ is lovely. Believe it.

Thanks for the encouragement Berliner & Aciddrop. :) I know things will get better...it's just frustrating while you are in the middle of it. :(

Thanks,
Kknight

LOL...I'm guessing BU had QQ, huh? Wonder why he didn't raise the river? Must've been afraid of a flush. Thanks aciddrop

Yep, he had em alright. And, I guess he thought the FD was what I minraised with. Dang! One of these days I'm gonna get over minraising!! It costs me.

And just to confirm that QQ is in fact the worst hand ever, check this out.

I absolutely and totally should just reraise all in on the flop. Don't know what I'm thinking. Wanna guess his hand?

99 ? ....

Nope, he actually slowplayed his AA. I had him dominated, busted, beat. Then I min reraised the flop. Really, this could have been ok, since his actual outs were only 2. But, again, there was a FD, so I probably should have raised more, and tried to get all in on the flop. I don't know. When they get beat like this, you second guess all over the place.

What do you think, Berliner? BTW, this wasn't SSS, so shouldn't really be in this thread anymore, just helping KKnight feel better. :)

Its BSS, but he could minraise you here with a set (I see them often do that on the Flop to get pushed by TPTK), an OESD or FD, to get a freecard on the turn if he does not hit. Or he is holding an Overpair.

Calling his minraise is no option since the board is so draw heavy and you´re OOP. So I would reraise here pretty hard to be pot committed on any turn, where you can easily find an All-In. Even if you got All-In on the flop, he would call with 99 and 44 or JTs in diamond. Bad players might would call a Straight- or Flushdraw, as well as an Overpair or Two Pair here.
For sure - in my point of view - is that your 3-bet should be much bigger.

No worries Kknight, keep playing those Queens.

@ Berliner. Yep. With this action, in all likelihood he wants to go all the way, so after he minraises my flop bet, I should add another three times that, raise to $42. He will either fold that, or if he thinks he is still in front, push me. He may also call, but in any case, I am definitely pot committed by that reraise, and at this stage still have the best hand, so I really want my money in in that circumstance.

there is nothing better then 2 women in your hands ;)
