[Closed] AK preflop "gamble"?

Hi everyone,

Villain is a Loose aggressive player but no so freaking maniac though.. He was mostly limping and openraising, but suddenly push AI in this particular hand..

Should I take here a "gamble or fold and wait for better opportunities?
I don't think he would play his monster hands this way, so I think he has sth like small pairs, AT+, and maybe some broadways..

Any feedback is highly appreciated

I think calling is the best here too...

It is really a crazy play from his side and also very confusing, but you have a very big stack and you risk only one third of it in this situation... Also you have one of the strongest hands and on these limits I saw people do this with some really bad ones...

It is realistic to assume he doesn´t have QQ+ here and so you´re up against smaller pair at worst, against which you´re flipping, which is not so bad considering that you´ll still be chipleader even if you loose, and then practically all the other hands from his range are dominated by your AKs...

With AQ for example this would be a bit harder decision, but AKs I´d call.

i agree with all of this.

His range here is heavily weighted towards weaker aces and mid pairs, and we have a lot of that range dominated. (I think we can eliminate QQ+ from his range).

If we win we also have a great set-up for bubble ownage. So i call TT+ and AK.
