Bet less on the river and fold to a raise?
Our hand is so well disguised here and it's pretty much only KKxx that we are losing to (JJ and 44 raises the flop always) that I still believe there are several combos of K4 that raise the river honestly believing they are good. If the guy shows up with KK+ 
then so be it.
You can bet less on the river here because most opponents are going to show up with a busted flush draw or the straight, and we want them to bluffraise or call with just a 4 that they spiked.
However his turn bet does fit in with someone with KK, he bets because he knows you don't have the nuts (therefore his set is good). Whether you should take a bet fold line against this person depends on your personal read of how tight he is on the river, that's not generally something I can answer for you
