Around 60 left, 90 got paid.

No real reads on villian but he looked pretty taggy so imo I am assuming he would ship AK pre.

Set is unlikely, and I beat some Kx. But I can't fold to a minraise can I - and calling can lead to action killer turns and so I just chose to ship it.

First of all: raising KQo UTG is a little loose so you really dont need to get yourself into this situation postflop.
But when you dicide to play KQ there, you should not be giving up on this flop too easily since the flop is pretty much as good as it gets.

Still when he raises your cbet, which hands worse then KQ are in his range, that he will call your push with? I cant think of a single one. Maybe a pair with a flushdraw, but you are not far ahead against these, furthermore there are little combos in his preflop calling range.

So after all I think, you should just call his raise and hope for a checkdown. You could call one more bet as a bluffcatcher, but when he barrels turn and river, you are beaten most of the time.

Consider that your line looks very strong and a thinking opponent should act very carefully with anything worse than 2pair.

this is 3$ MTT, guys will over play KJ, KT there flush draws too,

as played call min raise on flop, check/call most of turns (A is only turn i might fold cos he might have A2/a9 and maybe 3-7 :spade:), check call most non :spade: river except T, J if he barrel again and turn bricks too

So are we playing AK the same way - since it isn't much different.

imo yes if u dont have A :spade:

and it is a difference, cos with AK ur beating 8 hands (kq combos) more then ur beating with kq + u r decreasing possibility that villain have slow played AA

Imo KQ off is a fold utg with 3 resteal stacks after you but you can open it sometimes I guess.
I think when you decide to raise it and you actually hit top pair you can't really fold. What is so bad about this hand is that you are in good shape only against 2 hands I think: KJ and KT.
You are basically flipping against the nut flush draw and some other combo draws and way behind against the rest. So I really think that shipping is bad here. I would call and depending on the turn action I would prob check fold. And I would actually hope for an ugly turn to have a good excuse to fold.
I guess at most you can do the bluff catch on favorable turns and rivers but that is pretty much the only value your hand has here I think especially if you do not think the guy is kinda donkish.

I admit that i didnt pay very much attention to the buyin, my analysis would have been roughly the same in a 100$ game.
OK there are hands we beat, but we cant just choose the hands, we´d like to see. We have to look at his entire range which contains sets and 2pairs.

On other hand hero may be still ahead - if villian had flushdraw his play makes sense and he have odds to call shove, especially with A :spade:

I think he is rarely ahead and even when he is the other guy has quite a few outs so I still think it is not a profitable move to push.
