Final table AKs, no FE

Yesterday I organised a small tournemant at my home. 25 players showed up, and with some rebuy the prizepool became quite nice. I ended up at the final table (10 players) but lost many of my chips earlier in a very unpleasant, but typical hold'em hand. I'll describe it below.

I folded my way up into the money (payout for the first 6), however I was the smallest stack at the table. I was really carddead. I followed this strategy because everyone else was so stupid to get eliminated however their stack wasn't in such a bad shape.
I ended up against 3 players. But, their stacks were way bigger than mine at the moment so now it was time to get hopeless and look for a spot to double up. I coundn't wait any longer for someone to get knocked out before me.

I had about 7 BB, player in front of me, the ultrabigstack bets 5BB. Ik have A :spade:K :spade: and go allin. Table folds around and he calls (offcourse).
I hate it to call allin but I don't think I could have waited any longer...
Any thoughts?

I was really disgusted with this situation, not that I think I could play it differently;

UTG+2 raises 4BB, I play with him alot, I know how he plays, he's not a bad player normally. People respect his raises.
I'm next to him, I call with pocket fives.
CO calls, another good friend, but not so good at poker. Doens't play that often, and makes weard decisions.
So;

UTG+2 (90 BB) bets 4BB
Hero UTG+3 (180 BB) calls 5 :spade:5 :heart:
CO (70 BB) calls

Flop (13.5BB) 2 :diamond:5 :diamond:6

UTG+2 bets 8 BB
Hero raises to 35 BB
CO goes all-in (to 65 BB)

I love to get action with my sets, but I disliked the situation. After that, an even more disgusting thing happened as UTG+2 quite fast also went all-in.

I instantly knew that the solid player on my right would have AK of diamonds or AA with a nutflushdraw. The other willain in the cut-off could have flopped the flush, but chances to flop a flush are rare. But no matter what, with my set, 200 BB in the pot and only about 50 BB to call both I made the move, but hated to do so. The turn was an A so I could also forget to win the sidepot...

Hi Philipvw!

I think both hands are played well. With 7BB left you have to go all-in with AKs. Concerning your 55 hand: Even if you know that both of them have you beat: You have to call here because the odds are way too good. You have 7 outs on the turn and 10 on the river to improve your hand to a full house.

1 to 4 pot odds.

Let's assume your read was right, and you ARE in fact up against flush and AA, the scariest card would be 66 which we now drop, because of the scary flop and the good read.

55562, you need a 5 for sure victory:

1 out, so 1/47 + 46/47 * 1/46 = 1/47 =

2/47 = 4.3%

you could also hit no ace, no 5, and a 6 or 2:

6/47 * 43/46 + 43/47 * 6/46 = 258/1081 = 24.4%

minus running 6's: 3/47 * 2/46 = 3/1081 =0.3 = 24.1% left for 55566 or 55522

you could also hit a running pair, not an ace, 5, 6, 2 not a but any other, aces you know, flush guy has 2 random cards:

running none flush guy cards:

38/47 * 3/46 = 114/2162

running flush guy cards:

38/47 * 2/46 = 76/2162

running pair: 190/2162 = 8.8%

24.4% + 8.8% + 4.3% = 37.5%, and that is WITH your 2 monsterhands against read, and does not include harrington's sheer bluff ration of at least 10% per player. The guy with the aces was underdog already, and the bad player could easily hold Ad 8h or something. The 37.5 % are the odds to call with one made flush and AA against, pod odds 1-4, good call.

1st hand: yes easy shove no debate

2nd hand: why the initial 35BB raise? if you're respecting that raise why reraise him?

considering the raise though as helem says you have the pot odds to call. if you don't make your FH or quads so be it

2nd hand

I respect his raise, but his raise tells me he has an overpair, 50% chance with a (nut)flushdraw. It would be very unlikely that he flopped a flush. It's an easy reraise for me, because I want him all-in and that is how he would have reacted.
If I just calls and he misses the turn, than he will be reconcidering his hand serously and it would be hard for me to extract more money from him.
