As you can see, i didn't participate in this hand, and calling from EP with Kt is off course a weird play, but, say he had AK, can you get out of these kinds of hands?? Could you possibly put someone on FH here? I've been on either side of this situation (off course more often from the FH side, because it's about the best trap in the NLHE game.

But how to deal with a 3OAK in this case?

Hi helemaalnicks!

I couldn't get away from this hand with AK. I would have played it differently preflop but except from that: I would have bet and raised because of the possible flushdraw. The second K on the turn would mean that I go all-in no matter what. If he has the better hand: so be it.

Good luck at the tables!

and how about a freeplay, i just flopped trip 9's with 98 as hole cards. Would you be able to throw that away? What if you are the bb, you have k5, you check, and you flop trips?

If I flop trips I normally bet and raise as much as I can. But it's difficult to give a general recommendation because it depends a lot on your image, the opponents, your stack, the opponents stack, the history on the table etc.

Good luck at the tables!
