i.e. I think I can get value here on river from worse Jx so I decided to bet, but if Villain has not flush he wont probably call with worse hand? so check/call most of the time? ♠_confused:

Eesh. River is very close. I'm trying to rationalize it out in my mind and leaning towards bet/fold... I don't think we get raised off the best hand that often.

I'm really just leaving this comment so the thread is marked and i can see what the hand judge says ♦

pre and flop are good. i bet the turn slightly smaller but the difference is marginal.

river is interesting.

I definitely think b/f is better readless because as you said. worse pairs are quite a significant part of his range and we lose a lot of value if we check and let him check behind and, as ged pointed out, we never get raised with worse so its very easy to b/f.

the problem with c/c, is that the way the hand played out your opponent usually has 2 options, either he has a made hand like a Jx,8x, mid pair that will check behind. OR he has a flush/straight draw that will raise or bet when checked to. So c/c will only get value from 9T/97/T7 straight draws that missed but b/f gets value from a lot more of his made hand range and we can b/f small-ish to control the size.
