I thought his flop bet was weak. Was it legitimate to call here?

Hi,

Sure we're certainly not folding on the flop. We're getting close to 5:1 on a call which is more than enough for our OESD, especially when he's betting so small that he could possibly show up with overcards or worse pairs. With a decent T I'd consider raising for value quite a lot. With 99 we block a lot of combos of pair+draw hands he could bet/call with and we don't beat Tx, so it's a tad thin and probably not worth it if you aren't comfortable playing the turn when called. Just calling is fine.

On the turn you don't really have a choice, it's quite rare that he's totally bluffing on such a board and since he increased his bet size it's likely he has enough to at least consider calling a raise, so I'd raise as well. I might even lead out to begin with.
