Hi there,

a new month arrived and i am finally ready to start playing, so here are my goals for this month:

Read at least half of the silver articles

Play at least 15 000 hands this month

watch all white and bronze videos about BSS and general strategy

evaluate hands from my session and post the weird ones

and finally put graph here after each 5k hands ...

after i reviewed this hand i think my cbet was very bad because of villian stacksize, he was allready commited and i bluffed only with overcards .... am i right? maybe check was the right decision there?

I'd make it $0,8 on flop and pot turn. The board is very drawy and you should bet/raise for protection and value as well.

From my experience, limp-minraise is always either KK or AA.

Please guys write me here which limits are you playing and approximately hom much hands you play in a month. So we can decide how big sample of hands we will use.

Challenging rule :
biggest bb/100 hands in the same limit (e.g. NL5 for me) in 50k hands...(or maybe less,we will agree on that), for fun and couriosity it would be nice if everybody will past theirs stats and graps for example at the end of every week that we can see who is winning at the time I know that we are playing different limits and someone can argue that it is not even to compare results between limits so i decided that we should create groups with the same limit.

Guys if you have some thoughts about this dont be shine and write it down here and we can discuss it

So for now i am playing NL5FR , 5000hands already played, my BR is at 167$ and here is my graph:

as you can see I am still not very succesfull at this limit but I am studying almost every day so result must be somewhere around a corner ♦

I was finally able to find one big mistake that I am doing frquently: I just can't fold TPTK, I know it is stupid but so hard for me to understand that Iam beaten most of the time when someone reraise me ...

For my stats: i know that PFR should be almost the same as VPIP but Iam still only limping small pairs and dont want to rush this remake of my strategy...

Can you guys help me with the rest of the stats? Is there something very wrong?

I had a bit of trouble when I went up to 5NL FR too. There seem to be more competent players at this level compared to 2NL.

I was finally able to find one big mistake that I am doing frquently: I just can't fold TPTK, I know it is stupid but so hard for me to understand that Iam beaten most of the time when someone reraise me ...

I think I read/saw somewhere that this is probably the most common leak in players at this level. Your 'Hand with the largest loss' highlights this very well. By the river you have to ask yourself what hands could he have that would call you pre-flop, flop and turn? There aren't many you will be beating. On the river I would probably check-fold or check call a small bet by him. If you are going to bet again bet a smaller amount, so you can fold if he comes over the top of you.

I'm no expert on stats, but I think your Agg is too high and WTSD% too low. This is probably because you are playing too many hands you have to throw away on later streets when they don't improve. I think all you need to do is tighten up your opening hand ranges and learn to fold TPTK ♠_biggrin:

As lee200 said, you WTSD is very low, mine is hanging around the 25% mark and you are very aggressive, try and tone down the triple barreling stuff when you don't have a great hand (I'm assuming that's what it is). Also, I know how hard it is but try and bring that VPIP and PFR closer together I had the same problem, start raising your pocket pairs (44-88 after UTG) instead of limping, just remember that limping isn't really much use to you because not only do you have no idea where you stand against your opponent, you also miss out on the opportunity to build up the pot preflop in case you hit the flop big Good luck and great blog man, keep it up ♦

Omg how can u have such a low VPIP? I played like a complete nit yesterday, and elephant still showed me 23/16.♠_confused: I even folded 76s from MP, which was my biggest laydown of the day.:f_biggrin:

Raise flop, pot turn, shove river, say gg and take his money.♠_cool: Almost nobody's folding KQ at NL5. I'm sure you could have had his remaining 2 bucks as well.

And the second hand.. i think theres nothing you can do on the river but call, you're getting a lot to one (im lazy to count it) on your money..

About that TPTK stuff... i think it depends a lot on the board texture.. i think shoving AK on A83 rainbow board (esp at micros) is absolutely right, but shoving AJ of diamonds on JT9 all spades would be just plain stupid. It also depends on the villain. Agains a complete moron, im shoving A9o in the first hand, against a nit im folding AK to a raise.

Ur graph looks exactly as mine.. grinding it up, then a cooler/bad beat/stupid call and again..

and for stats, lately i was reading some posts here on forum and i figure out that my hand collection is to small to look for some leaks ... i will post my stats maybe after 20k hands and then look for some leaks...

about vpip/pfr i know about this but it cannot be repaired in couple hundred hands, i am already raising pocket pairs after UTG but i have a lot of hands on the start of NL5 when i was just limping pocket pairs and suited connectors and stuff like that just because i was reading only bronze articles at the time ♦ Now i am in the middle of silver articles trying to figure out my post flop game ♦

Yesterday was a day without poker, the whole evening i spend playing beach volleyball with my friends because this weekend i will play on 2 tournaments so i must be ready ;).
But of course i was reading in tram some articles about stats and trying to figure out which stats I am going to use in my HUD.

For start Iam going to try this setup:

Hands / VPIP / PFR / AF / Went to Showdown
Steal / 3 bet / fold to 3 bet / flop CBET / Fold to flop CBET

what do you think about this setup guys? Is it enaugh for beginning or maybe too much to follow ?

Those are the same stats I use in nearly the same order! I started out with less and worked my way up, but I don't think it really matters. Hovering over the 3bet gives the fold to 3 bet stat which I find quite useful when you want to punish a stealer

I personally use:

VPIP/PFR/Steal/Fold to Steal/3bet
AF/Cbet flop/Fold to flop Cbet

But yours seems completely fine ♦

What u mean? Sevens full a mediocre hand? Man i'd bet even my granny with sevens full on that hand.♦ It's not about being aggressive, but about betting your hands properly. Like i said, i think you could have had his remaining stack too. If he's willing to put in such a big part of his stack (he gave you about 70% of what he had at the start) with KQ here, he's obv gonna give 100% as well.

Yeah, i know that feeling, i think you just need to play a ton and then you wont feel it.. losing and winning big pots (considering stakes) helps. You'll see, its gonna get better.:f_cool:
