I'm a longtime regular on this forum. Last time I posted here was on pokerstrategy.it, not .com (.it does not exist enymore)... that was 11 years ago. Anyway, I'm back playing after a lifetime, and I'm doing something I've never done before because I had no bankroll... I'm playing MTT (yes, back then I was a kid who'd never worked and had no money, and I was crushing £0.50 sit n gos). Anyway, I had AI analyze my stats and it tells me I should be a MTT CRUSHER. I have a chip ev of +21 bb/100. Can you tell me if that's really the case or is AI just trying to keep me friends?

Hi,
ChipEV is definitely something worth looking at in MTTs because it measures how many chips you win on average, independent of short-term results.
However, I think 12k hands is still a relatively small sample for tournaments. A ChipEV of +21 bb/100 sounds very strong, but variance in MTTs can be huge.
I would take it as a positive sign rather than proof that you are crushing.
If the number stays similar over a much larger sample, then it becomes much more meaningful.
Also, ChipEV is most useful before ICM becomes a major factor. Deep runs and final table decisions are not fully reflected by ChipEV alone.
