So this should be where the real tournament players should be... ![]()
First time posting in this part of the forum I think...
I am playing a lot more (hyper) tournaments than cash now, doing well, but I never really studied tournaments/mtt strategy beyond the basic stuff like mtt-stages, basics of icm etc ...
Part of this is because I don't really know how to get better at tournament play. Because of the game-and payout-structure it's hard to calculate anything or be certain something is a good play. Also the variance makes that you can't trust your results for a long time compared to cashgames...
If I want to get better at hyper 6max (and perhaps turbo) tournaments (or mtts in general), what is to best way to improve my game? What should I focus on, and in particular: Is there any free or cheap software you can recommend to improve my game?
I am playing speedracers @ GG a lot, which are kind of a hyper-hyper with 2 min levels (10bb starting stack, first level 20min). So of course a lot is push/fold ... I was thinking I start training with the free icm-trainer software from Pokerstrategy to improve my push/fold game? Is that a good way to get better?
