Is that something new? Since I did that a month ago yet I'm not entitled to any bonus?

I emailed Unibet on this after joining up last week and got told there is no loyalty bonus.

If this is the case I won't be sticking around for long.

Since you have a tracked Unibet account with PokerStrategy.com then you can simply make a deposit to receive loyalty bonus which is paid out usually at the beginning of the following month - mostly on Mondays.

I logged on my unibet account today only to find i now need to make a total of 1700 points to unlock my first 50euro of the FDB. Last time i logged on i was told it was 600 points. The customer support it awful, ive been with them for less than a month and already thinking of leaving them.

770 is an ipoker skin. They don't offer standard rakeback. Their form of rakeback is bonuses and VIP programme.

Your first deposit bonus is essentially the highest rakeback you will get with them if you're playing low volume(below $500 raked per month). The VIP system is simply not good for low stakes and micro players. I would opt for something like microgaming that does offer standard rakeback.
