Both the shop and tournaments have the same value with your points so this is really down to what you prefer to do with them.

Every VIP point spent on tournaments and in the shop is worth 0.005 USD (half a USD cent).

Personally, I like to use points for tournaments as you always have the chance of winning more cash!

Also please note that the exchange rate to cash rakeback and tournament buy ins are not the same. i.e. you'll likely to pay more for tournament tickets rather than have the cash rakeback into your account.

This also depends on how much you rake/month because like that you could see whether rakeback or tournament ticket would be more beneficial for you.
