Played two medium-lenght sessions, full of bad beats and mediocre play. Will probably have to make my SR tomorrow, I don't think I'll manage today.

It’s pain in the ass but it works. With Polish uni it depends. In my uni from 210 ppl district math passed 50 or so in a first try (of course with me). Most of those guys repeat it second – third year because they failed at it… Politechnika is also very demanding. Of course there are schools that doesn’t demand any work but you won’t learn anything from them. I like English evaluation forum. At the beginning I needed to ask 4-8 more questions until I get the answer that was satisficed for me but after a while they start writing longer posts.

Spoiler

Gaming is poker
Employment is PokerStrategy.com
HM is HM ;)
Administration is my job
other tags are pretty obvious

I've uploaded a lot of hands for review today. Done some quality analysis time. I was coolered badly a few times, but non-sd was better than expected.

I've talked to ilidek about the accountability deal and established the details. I've also done a spreadsheet, in which I will monitor my progress.

Bought some hardware to work out at home about a year ago. The price of it, when compared to gym membership, paid itself twice now. But I think it may be time to go back to a proper gym and get myself together to do some real workout. Talked to a friend about that and we've initially came up with a plan:

legs:
squats hard (3x5)
front squats (4x8)
good morning (4x8)
calfs (3s max)

push:
bench press hard (3x5)
military press hard (3x5)
bench press narrow (3x8)
dips w/o weights (5s 70% max)
face pull (5s 12-15) (might deviate to another exercise from that one, will see)

pull:
deadlift hard (3x5)
pendlay rows (4x5)
pull ups wide w/o weights (3s 70% max)
pull ups undercling (3s 70% max)
bicep hammer curls (3s 5-8)

At Sunday I work less, since I leave at 4PM. So, only a quick session. I took my time and analysed some hands + done some other work, poker unrelated.

This week I'll concentrate fully on single hands. I'll try to play fewer tables but fight for as many pots as I can. I'll be moderately aggro, but I'll try to be even more aggro vs NL10 villains, since I'll be getting a hand subscription on that limit. We'll see how it goes.

Just 5 BIs before NL10. I think I'll manage to make my first, hopefully last, shot this week.

One session today, just above 1k hands. I feel that changing my game is going well. On a small sample (4k h) the red line is better than ever. I can definitely do even more about it.

Had very few hands to analyse today (4 hands >20bb pots!), so I took some time to watch this video. So, all in all, working with poker away from the tables has been longer than the necessary 75 mins, but I still entered 75, since it wasn't all analysis after all.

Been to a gym for the first time in a long while. Feels really good. But there probably won't be many experienced fellas, since the gym is brand new and has been open for just under a month now. I've decided to take a low ball approach and start with few weights and move up roughly 5kg/week for large muscles and 2,5kg/week for smaller ones.

Journal SS (no RT link, since I haven't yet installed it on my home PC):

One "bad" news is that my fiancée asked me to help her with some of her uni stuff and I still have to pass an exam on Saturday. Also, I'll have some job-related work to do. So, I'll have to divide my time quite a bit until upcoming Monday. Too bad. I thought that poker will be my main concern starting this week. Ehh, life.

Gotta get down to work asap, so here's a quick wrap-up of today's endeavours:

Spoiler

The path for the SS may change, since I'll still have 30 mins of SR and 15 mins of breathing ahead of me.

Things are going very bad, time-wise. I'm actually working my ass off with my studies and some stuff that my fiancée asked me to do for her. So, I don't think I'll be able to play any hands until the end of the week. I'll probably end up only writing a daily blog note and catch up on the time that I couldn't work during the rest of the month.

Everything away from the tables is actually going pretty well for me. Going back to a proper gym after such a long time is exhilarating, I'm doing breathing exercises regularly, I don't tilt and I've done some big laydowns, which a while back would cause irritation. With my last exam on Saturday I'll have most weekends free, which I am really looking forward to.

Let me know when you deal with everything. We need to change few things. It doesn't work right now.

It's not that it doesn't work. It's that it's not working at all. I'll talk to you on Monday.

Short summary of today: studying math analysis for 6 hours. About halfway through the material. Plans for tomorrow and the weekend:
1. Finish it.
2. Pass the exams.
3. Write two papers.
4. ???
5. PROFIT

If I won't go to sleep tonight, do I have to make a note or does the two days count as one? xD

I feel pretty sick after 9 hours in front of Word writing boring texts. Why don't I feel so tired after 9 hours of playing poker?

My weekend was exhausting. I don't even have any desire to write about it, but since I'm making a journal, I think I should. So, here it goes.

It all started with studying for an exam, which I eventually failed. It indeed was a fail, since I struggled with lack of notes and when I finally found some material to study from I decided to learn a lot of things but not thoroughly. The exam turned out to be, for the first time from that lecturer, a 3 question one with multiple subpoints, instead of a 5+ question one. So I failed, since I didn't "hit" the third question with the most points. Even though I crushed the first two ones, I didn't even had any bad feelings towards the lecturer. It's not like I'm disappointed or anything. Or maybe just a bit. But no bother. Maybe I'll still get a chance to pass it, but we'll see. If not, nothing bad really happens, I still pass the year.

Then I had to help my girlfriend with her uni stuff, since I know it very well. Don't want to go into detail with that one. She's got a shitload of work and could use my help. I'll still be helping her with studies for her English B2-level exam, but that's just a minor thing, since most of the work is on her.

I decided to take a day off today. I really needed it. My gym is going well, I was also running yesterday. Tomorrow, I'll finish the spreadsheet journals and finally get some poker going. Hopefully, there'll be nothing major to bother me until September.

Back to work.

An unfortunate session today. 1640 hands and, as a famous Quake player would say, the fishes were "alltimes lucky". I got raised and re-raised OTR a fuckload. So, I'm still 5 BIs before NL10. Will do some analysis in a few minutes.

The most interesting might yet come, as a friend of mine is gathering a few guys for some late-night live poker, which I've never played before. Obviously, we don't play for cash, as it is illegal in Poland and we of course are law abiding citizens ;) But we'll see if I'll go there, since my girlfriend asked me to help her with her English today and tomorrow evening.

Got some PC problems at work since like an hour (writing from cell via wifi) and going out in the evening. So just checking in and I'll make a proper post tomorrow.

Not in the mood to write huge posts. I'll restart the challenge Monday. I think that'll be fair, since I haven't done nearly as much as I'd like to during the first 20-ish days of it.
