Yeah - my wife and I moved to a new state and she started a job teaching at a University. I've been very frustrated with my inability to play any sort of reasonable poker due to unreasonable cashouts on Lock Poker + reg filled games.
For those of you that can play on Stars and are able to easily deposit and withdraw, count your blessings daily. It might not always be like that, so enjoy it and maximize it for the time being.

You can still play on bovada. I wish I could play there . The Winning network is also cool. The betonline can be good if you are not winning too much cause they stall huge winners with cashouts.
I mean it isn't that lock/revolution network is your only option (and their software is god awful)

I don't mind the software on Lock, but the 2 month cashouts are just unacceptable.
So I read in the first post of someone's blog that this is the best blog at pokerstrategy. I start reading from page one and get hooked. I get to the last page and see that the last post was 2.5 months ago! What is this nonsense? How can such a fantastic blog packed with such gems be allowed to fall into the oblivion that is the deep pages of this section?
Never the less I want to thank you for helping me find some drive to become better. I have a good job, great family, and test high in any iq or comprehension tests I have ever been given. Yet I have never EVER been able to sustain profitability in any form of online poker.
I've played hundred of thousands of hands (millions really isn't out of the question actually) but still cannot break through. I have the mental block of pressing the wrong buttons even when I know the right one to press. I also have the mental block of jumping forms of poker after a few bad sessions. I've built up multiple four figure bankrolls only to lose a few sessions, switch games, and then proceed to blow it all.
I've also dominated stretches of ~50k hands only to blow all my profit in 1-2 sessions. I cannot put my finger on the multiple leaks and the multiple triggers for these leaks ever since I started playing poker 5 years ago. This is very frusterating to me since in every other area in my life I have always had the ability to break down and assess my leaks and then plug said leaks efficiently.
Anyways enough blabbering, this epic thread needs a bump and that's why I was here for in the first place!
So I moved to Canada till April 30th with the occasional trip back home to Virginia. So far, in the month or so that I've been down there, I've grinded 150K hands at the 100NL Zoom/Rush tables on FTP and Stars. I'm home for the weekend and heading back to Canada on Sunday. Monday I start grinding again.
Nice to be able to play on poker sites where I can actually cash out and see the money with a week as opposed to 3-4 months.

I'm in Windsor, ON. Not much going on there which is perfectly fine with me.
Ahh yeah Windsor is an alright place. Kinda get the best of both worlds because it's not a huge city but by no means is it small. Too bad you are getting the weather you are there ATM, although you would have to avoid the whole eastern seaboard to get away from it.
I personally live in Vancouver which just had a 12 C day which is like 54 F. Not bad. Also like Windsor we never lost online poker
My options were limited. Windsor is about 8.5 hours away from my house in Virginia and I wanted to be in a position to where I could always come back home on short notice if it was needed. I've heard amazing things about Vancouver but it's located on the other end of the U.S. ...
Its also in the black hole of shipping for your book apparently. I've been trying to find a way to secure a copy for a while now. I cannot find anywhere that will sell me and then charge me less than $30 for shipping.
Like you I believe a hard copy is much better than a pdf. With that said I dont really understand why every company wants to charge me like I live in Sudan instead of Canada. Any tips or ideas on how to get my hands on a copy for a reasonable shipping price?
You could always move to Toronto which is only 3hrs from Windsor. Then you would have the best of all worlds!

I did consider Toronto but it would have added 3 hours to my overall drive and it's more expensive than Windsor (which turns out to be dirt cheap). Rush/Zoom makes putting in volume a breeze, but I think I'll start putting in more volume at the regular tables since I expect my winrate at those to be higher.
May I ask your winrate so far at 100NL ZOOM?
I play 25NL zoom, but its Tough for me:)

Verneers book is full of superficial stat crap that we can all figure out in about ten minutes of owning holdem manager, why are we so naive when it comes to poker? I can honestly say its about as usefull as a chocolate fireguard

I gathered from ur blasphemous post that u read the book, so i urge u to send me the book (in some sort of PDF format or something) trough Pm so i can read it and stand up for Veerner and defend hes honour because im sure its probably good stuff.
Damn thing is hard to find online somehow..
