Hi goldchess,
I edited your post. Please don't state screennames of players without asking, thank you :).
Best regards,

Fairly decent sunday :
Cashed warmup, satted to tilt 100k gtd - busted a pro so was freerolling like twice ♦
Lost some crucial flips in 22s. But deep in the $55 daily 90k right now. 3/39
30k up top - lets gooooooooooooooo
i appreciate your comment on my blog bro and i'm hoping to win those big bucks soon like what you're already doing.
good luck on the tables and i know we'll meet on a table one day! hopefully on a final table.
cheers!
Bubbled it, YAY GO ME!
/sarcasm
GG tho, made a few mistakes, but overall think I played kinda good.
Congrats on your great results mate. Pretty sick how you keep making it deep into these tourneys. May i ask how much you think is down to run well and winning flips and how much to skill in stack building?
Weird question but i can't ever seem to make it that deep into a 5K player tourney for the reason i never run well enough. I can be amongst the chip leaders early on then inevitably i will get coolered a few times and end up with a pointless cash. I'm thinking smaller fields (PartyPoker) suit me better as i won't need to run good for 10 hours to win, just ok for 3 hours.
My sample is small to be fair and maybe i just need to improve my skills.

Well ofc in like every result - nearly all of it is down to run well. I mean there is only really a decent proportion of skill in the lategame imo. But then again, I do believe that I am profitable in the longrun in mtts (like a lot of mtt players) and so continue to play them. MTTs are werid in that most of us will "never know" simply due to the large amount of variance.
Structures effect a lot of how skillfull a mtt is obviously. The daily 90k has a very nice structure, and its even better on a sunday so this obviously means I can go deep in it quite often.
Not much pokah being going on since sunday but whatever.
My alienware laptop came today and is pretty sick. Kinda motivates me for as to why i play poker etc.
But pretty epic fail regarding paying for it. Basically I had more than enough to pay for it when I bought it and it showed up on my statement that they had took off the money. But with hindsight this was probably just a "tester" payment idk.
Anyhow somehow they didnt actually take the money out of my account until it got dispatched, which was this weeknd. And so now I have -£300 in my acct - and I don't have overdraft so I am for sure gonna get fucked over in charges even when I get to a +ve balance.
Kinda sucks how all my other cash that isn't online is tied up right now too, so I have to pray that either my tilt withdrawal goes through or my student loan comes through soon ♦
you are in uni right though?? if you tell the bank that you are they may drop the overdrawn charges

Easy solution to avoid higher fees the longer your balance is -ve is just borrow from a family member or close friend, they know you'll pay it back.
Bank is OK now - one of my tilt withdrawals from saturday came through. Still waiting on the rest to be processed though...
Hey all,
The other day I sat down and tried to do my university coursework and I realised I didn't even know where to start. So this has kinda opened my eyes to the fact thatalthough I always say to myself and others "nah I won't drop out of university" that I effectively already have because of how much I neglected it. So since I can't seem to strike any balance between poker and my studies myself I decided to just stop playing poker all together until I have completed my exams (in a month or so). Then I have like 3/4 months over summer to play and only have to worry about balancing with hanging out with friends, trying to get a bit more into shape again.
I need to sort something out over the summer for when I go back next year - maybe it involves not playing mtts anymore (since arguably the way in which you never have a set playing schedule and the playing a final table till 5am don't help
)
So yeah this is just a post to say I am taking a break for a month. I have self-excluded my accounts for a month and also withdrew all my funds. There isn't really a worry for me to deposit on some euro site for the simple fact I can't stand them, even if they are soft. I might play live at the weekends but other than that no poker and I am going to use all the free time (which there will be a lot of ♦) to study and to get fitter again.
Thought of a kinda cool challenge that I am going to do over the summer when I come back, so this is something for me to look foward to.
Start with $10k bankroll on June 1st.
Challenge is to have $25k bankroll by September 1st.
Hopefully setting this challenge will
a) Motivate me to play, evaulate and study.
b) Finally give me a bankroll to which I can start shooting HSMTTs - my ultimate goal for this year is to be a HSMTT reg by the end of it.
As to whether the challenge is doable there are 92 days in this period. If I play around 2/3rd of them, I play 60 days.
I play on average 30 MTTs a day with a average buyin of like $14. If we assume a ROI of 50% then I can expect to profit $210/day.
210*60=$12.6k
So on expectation I probably won't acheive it. But factoring in some moving up it should be possible. And it would be boring if there wasn't some challenge element to it
See you all in a month when I've hopefully passed my exams.
I had the same situation with poker & university. That rly sux, that Im running hot right now, couse no way Ill take brake now ♦ (tomarow is exam and after that Im starting to shoot at higher stakes
)
anyways.. Good luck at uni!
