thats useful to know as well.. but I was more thinking like how much time does it take to win 1 on average??? guess around 3 hours?

oh, till finish, let me check... Hmm, i've got HU 6 times and total time varies between 115min and 133 min :) So ~2 hours

3 hours is way to long I think. On average it will run 2 hours or so. also according to his avg time wich is 1 hour and he will bust half way on average (obviously that is not totally correct)

Yes from my experience it's also around 2 hours to win it or lose the HU.

@Bigniux: I am pretty sure that the showdown winnings are not accounted in the $ EV adjusted (in chips). From what I saw $ (EV adjusted) is actually the sum of all cEV diff from each hand. The thing is that this cEV diff is 0 when there nobody allin and is also 0 when the allin is done on the river. So the only hands that do count are the ones in which there was someone allin on the turn or earlier.

I checked on hem forums and there is some explanation to the EV thing as they take it into account http://faq.holdemmanager.com/questions/120/EV+Explained

Definition: EV stands for Expected Value and is a mathematical formula based on when a hand goes all-in before the river.

Some important things to note about EV:

1. All-in EV is only calculated based on hands which were all in before the river since equity on the river will always be 0% or 100%. Hence, the river is irrelevant.

2. If you get 95% of your stack in on the turn and the final 5% in on the river, then it takes your equity on the street you got all in on. We will be introducing another stat at a later date which will try to take into consideration your equity based across all streets which should give a better representation.

So EV by itself it is not really able to tell you if you are running hot or not. It can say mostly for allin situations but even for those it is debatable I would say. I'm mostly thinking about coolers or pushes with/into short stacks. You can make a plus EV push your opponent could make a -EV call and in HEM it could result -EV for you. Problem is that HEM is not accounting for ranges only for the particular hand. ex when you push 98s into 7bb BvB and he calls with T5o. Or when you push AQ lets say from CO with 12bb (which I guess it's pretty standard) and the BB has KK and you suckout it will say you are running hot but you were unlucky he actually had KK etc.

Long post again... In the end I think the best way is to review your play and see if you are playing correctly. However I like to double check with HEM (especially when I feel I'm running bad )

Hi all,

i've been kinda lazy and demotivated to play recently. In last two days played ~50 games :f_confused: Yday was kinda strange, started a session and decided to finish after ~30 mins lol, but shipped one 3r and well, i'm in protifs for yday :f_biggrin: strange thing is that being in profits helped my mindset, even tho i played only few games, so will try to put in more volume today and will post month review later :)

Started to learn PLO, i'm kinda tilting while playing, because i dunno what to do in shitloads of spots But well, got few books yday, will start reading them and hopefully things will start getting more clear soon :)

March Review

Spoiler

Winnings: $786 :f_confused:
Rake: $2,226.3 (Stars), $104.8 (FTP), $331.1(Bwin)
Time Played: 151 Hours

I guess i possibly earned more in RB this month than my actual winnings _confused: but i'm kinda lazy to do all the maths so w/e. Failed with 180mans volume, only 2k of them. Played too many MTTs, been lazy/demotivated on too many days and had some days off :f_grin: Will fix that next month, i'm only 30tabling again and i feel happy about it, pointless to be rb pro and i'll still manage to reach SN, so it's fine :f_p:
As for SN, haven't updated my progress, here it is:

31% completed in 25% of the available time, not that bad, but would be nice to speed it up abit, all i need is to just catch nice upswing and start playing at higher stakes

Hmm, i should set some goals for April.

April Goals

[ ] 4,000 Games :f_eek:
[ ] Read at least one PLO book i got
[ ] Watch at least 2 PLO vids
[ ] Stick to 180mans
[ ] 4,000 Games :f_biggrin:

Fml, i'm such a fish when it comes to mindset, it has to change, i must change it. Had a nice day yday, up ~1k$. Dunno if this is the end of the downswing, but if it is, i'm a fish :f_biggrin: Thing is that downswing lasted for 1750 games, which is ~2 weeks given my normal volume. So, if i did had good mindset, it would have ended long time ago. Gotta start grinding as sicko. Thing is that i feel bad not because of losing money, i don't really care about money. But i just can't stand when i keep losing almost every important all-in deep Esp when you get to last 2 final tables with chiplead just to see how you lose a game in two hands for a mincash :f_confused: F*** that, gotta stop carrying about anything except my play somehow.

As for the challenge update, bad start lol almost two weeks passed and i'm up 100$ lol that's ~0,25% of the total But yeah, skyrocket graph incoming soon Maybe 5k$ week coming? :f_grin:

BMW M5

Spoiler

Freakin awesome :f_love:

seems as 5k graphs will have to wait

April graph:

Spoiler

Kinda sucks :f_confused:

And just to brag a bit, here's how my days used to look, in the table it shows: Date/Games played/Profit(loss) for the day

Spoiler

Ya, those days were cool, after that most of the days are red...

I think that the thing i'm doing wrong is playing too many different games, 180mans, 45mans, MTTs. I gotta stick to 180s(that's one of april goals) and then things should get better, cause the more different limits you play and the more different stakes, the higher variance is! So, need to stick to the plan and play 180mans to rebuild my BR and then when it will be solid, i'll start playing 45mans (27$+ stakes) and some turbo MTTs.

I kinda feel that most of my posts are pretty much the same lol

Yea, my mindset is totally fucked. In last 3 days i went on tilt twice AT THE TABLES. It's kinda strange tho, i was feeling quite good in the start of sessions, but at one point, one random lost hand starts to drive me crazy lol, at least i stop my sessions right after that instead of trying to fight with tilt while playing.

Also, i've been playing my B-game recently(it's still +EV, even my C game is +EV) and need to fix that too, that's quite easy so shouldn't make any problems :)

yeh.
it's good that ur B game is atleast in green zone.
obv playing ur A game will be so much more +EV :)

So, my last session went quite cool, played only 180s and stayed cool _cool: no tilt! Gonna "reinvent" my strategy, will cut down tables i play to probs only 20 (hopefully i won't get bored) and will play my mega +EV game :f_grin:
