No Limit 0.02/0.05 Shotzooming !

Okay so I took another shot and it was successful. Last time I lost about 2-4BI's (month ago), This time the session started with a little bit profit then I lost 2 big pots but I didn't get affected and kept playing.

At first I started with 2 tables in order to get used to the bet sizing of the limit. After about 90minutes I added 2 more tables. Played for almost 3 hours with small breaks.

Ended up with 9$ profit, 8$ ev.

This is a graph since I started the deal with my coach.

Obviously running hot, I hope this run continues and we will be able to move up to NL10 very soon !

Hand of the day, Fullhouse .vs straight flush

Played the whole sessions listening to this kind of music - superb.

First losing session since the deal :)

* Taking a very important note today :
During the session I felt I'm not playing my A-game.
what I usually think when I lose some pots is that it's nothing .. just keep putting in the volume and stop session &mark hands that I'm unsure about.

I'll keep this attitude but only if I actually play good and if I notice my game is not my best I will either :

a) Gain concentration by whatever it is I have to do
b) Stop session, either study poker or do non-related stuff

Loss is not heavy, -7$ (-2$EV). Though, it's not all badbeats and such, lots of marginal decisions.

Today's favorite video is OSHO's :

It's been a while, playing NL5 FR zoom mostly.

Had breakeven sessions mostly and today was a losing session where I actually lost in EV as well (1s time, hopefully the last).

I am considering to play 6max zoom, Does anybody have any thoughts on this ?

- Getting sick of waiting session long to hit a set and get any action, or seeing how all these fishes shove all-in pre but I have garbage, and when I have AA . . . you know the rest :)

That thread is not actually specifically about zoom, the thread is about 6max overall, but it's super informative and interesting, should absolutely check it out!

Hey guys, thank you very much for the advises and linking pleno1's SH thread. it's very helpful !

Been playing some nl2/nl5 sh today, mostly breakeven.

Here's a hand from the last hands of my session.

Grabbed by Holdem Manager
NL Holdem $0.05(BB) Poker Stars
SB ($2.93)
BB ($6)
Hero ($14.31)
UTG+1 ($4.95)
CO ($5.07)
BTN ($7.19)

Dealt to Hero Q♠ Q♥

Hero raises to $0.15, fold, CO calls $0.15, fold, fold, BB calls $0.10

FLOP ($0.47) 3♠ 9♠ 3♦

BB checks, Hero bets $0.33, CO folds, BB calls $0.33

TURN ($1.13) 3♠ 9♠ 3♦ 4♣

BB checks, Hero bets $0.80, BB raises to $2.48, Hero folds

BB wins $2.62

1st hand .vs this opponent , seems like std strong raise. I was about to make a move but decided i'd better let go .vs unknown with line like this.

Just finished today's session, mostly played nl5. approx 3.2k hands.

Was down at first, then was up like 2BI. ended up only 3.7$ up. However, [B]-6.31$ EV !

When I see my EV is negative but results positive, I think there are bad plays and decisions involved in my session. HAVE To review the session.

~ Week 2 since deal ~

Okay, so I got totally crushed in nl5 Shorthanded, -13$ in 900 hands and EV was -16$

I felt like I'm destroying myself actually, my game was very bad and my coach gave me a note before I approach 6max games - DO NOT CALL LIGHTER AND EXPECT PEOPLE TO GO BROKE LIGHT -

Unfortunately my game really has changed and I played 2pairs and TPTK with flushdraws like I would not play in Fullring.
Instead of playing solid game and avoid going to river showdowns with weak hands, I actually did all that stuff and lost money.

However, Today I stepped back to Fullring where I feel totally comfortable at and I ended in 37$ profit after 2k hands. Compensated on week's losses and even showed profit.

This was actually my highest profit session on this limit.

This is my all time zoom-graph. at around 60k mark, I started the deal with my coach. you can see the difference !

Hey AGNIS :)

I had a pretty tight week in RL job, been working all week and not much free time for poker although I did manage to put some volume.

I had taken a new job, part-time job (1.5 hours per week).
I will be coaching a soccer team of people with special needs (mental retardation mostly), and we had a course yesterday in a big stadium of some national team - they're sponsoring this project.

Anyway, this weekend I'll have some free time and I will either make sweat session with my coach or record a video of me playing.

Spot some leaks, improve . . . and NL10 !

don't know maybe I already linked this video but it's superb ! :)

Great Friday Noon !

Started off with morning-swimming in the pool near my home.
I'm learning something new every time I go there so I'm very happy 'bout that, it is very rewarding mentally and physically.

I had a sweat session with ma coach and there were no major leaks, maybe because there were no many marginal hands with tricky decisions.

We came across this hand and was very happy until the river where I basically TIMED OUT and ended up checking behind his 100bb's left stack ! haha

Wish me luckeh !

so I played another NL10 session today, and it was bloody around here.

Lost 5 BIs, which is pretty brutal when you move up

I will reduce tables to 2 zoom tables instead of 4.

and will not play 4 until I feel 100% comfortable in NL10 FR.

hey Boris :)

5BI loss sounds nasty , don`t let it bother you. There are days when I only play 1 table. Why? It really lets you get into the game more deeply. It lets you develop your thinking process while at the tables, do this someday. But I think your coach has given you some good advices, its important to use them not just receive them and pretend you have used them.

This is why I hate teaching poker to any of my friends, they think they understand what I`m talking about and I`m pretty sure they do , but when they get emotionally affected at the tables they just forget everything they learned. After few hours they have lost their money and declare poker a luck game. Pisses me off, but hey - more fishes for us _biggrin:

Hope you will run good :) I remember my shot takings from 1.50 to 3.50 sngs. I lost for like a week and had to grind my losses back with 1.50 games , but eventually I just made some good finishes and almost doubled my bankroll in few days :f_cool:

 Tacitus said, "He who fights and runs away, lives to fight another day; but he that is in battle slain, will never rise to fight again." You will win the money back, just not today.

Makes perfect sense AGNIS !

Obviously moving up a limit and losing 5BI at the new limit may have harsh mental effect.

But I'm back on track, dropped to nl5 and already won about 8BIs.

Results Oriented - Next time I'll play NL10 I will play only one or two tables at the same time (preferably with coach sweat.sess) and will pay attention only to the game itself.

The way I played NL10 last time was not looking at the results but I was not aware of how many I lose due to bad decisions, so it's not being NOT RESULTS ORIENTED, it's being retarded

Watching emanuel's zoom 6max vids is tempting to give 6max another shot but I will not do this any time soon !

I want to get a solid game at Nl10, Nl25 and maybe when BR is big enough I'll consider it again.

Not willing to update anything related to poker since nothing much is happening lately.

Planning my trip to India and lot of time spent in my job.

Came across Shiva-Statue in Rishikesh, India.

I have only one thing to say; it is simply simple peace.

JULY SUMMARY

First month of the deal, was perfect at the beginning - had plenty of time and less job stress and coach helped a LOT !
At the middle of the month took shots at Shorthanded game and failed, returned to FR and played solid until I took a shot at NL10 where I lost 6BIs in 2 days!

August is my last month for poker, because September is for :

INDIA

However, in the 2nd half of august I won't have much time for poker since I'm going to put a lot of effort in my job before I leave.

At beginning of August I will take another shot at NL10 and hope it'll run good this time !

Some graphs

July up to nl5 :

July including nl10 :

That's all for now, maybe I will post some hands later this night or next days :)

Farewell, Love ya'l..
Boris.

Hello guys, followers and non-followers

Motivation sucks this month as there is much work-stress time coming and my flight to India soon, it doesn't consume much time these days but motivation dropped a bit and I play really low volume.

I started to play a bit WoW in prv srv and Dota2.

Me and my coach we decided to end the deal and maybe we'll renew after my India trip. who knows . . .

Anyways, I don't know if I'll keep updating daily/weekly or only when I'm back.

Wish me luck ))
