I know but I dont want to just keep posting updates of if and when I win something, guess I need to take the time to write something more interesting but my life is pretty routine at the moment - good in some ways as no major personal or professional roller coaster right now, but not great reading.

Business is booming so I can afford to take some occasional shots at the big buy in tournies in a kind of off-piste / off-bankroll kinda way.

My personal life is stable, girlfriend moved in and doing very nicely. My daughter is now 8 and staying up later at night which is ok but definately restricts my poker playing as I miss the start of a lot of the mtts I used to play regularly.

Have had one long weekend away and am off to Cala D'Or on 1st June for a few days, Salou in August then Cruising in October so all holidays booked and paid for :)

One good thing about the cruise, this year I am going with Royal Caribbean and they apparently have a much larger casino and play NLHE rather than the tedious 3 card v dealer or whatever crap it was on Thomson cruise last year so am looking forward to that and hoping there are one or two well oiled, well financed donkeys to take advantage of.

Also, I think my drinking exploits as outlined in earlier blogs are well and truly over. Im just too old for it now and cant handle the aftermath of a good session like I used to. A good bottle of red or 2 with a nice meal is about the extent of my drinking nowadays :( but what can you do?

All sounds good. I'm glad things have turned around for you. I'd still like to see interesting hands and stories. Your blog about when you were on the telly was really entertaining.

Came 5th in PP 15K guaranteed for 1300 last night.

Could probably have laddered up another place or possibly 2 but had 88 in SB with CL on BU open shoving and decided to take a shot with about 13BB left. His AK (which was actually quite a surprise) hit 2 pairs on the flop and that was that, but was very happy with my play throughout.

I played very tight - less than 10/10 - without really getting any quality hands, but picked some spots to use the image to steal a few decent pots and I was pleased that I was "in the zone", reading situations well and acting accordingly.

On the down side, my 19 year old nephew has lost his job and whats worse, he has progressed from weed to coke and has got himself into a spot of bother with a dealer he owes money to. Got to find a way to sort him out!
