It's vicious circle for me atm. I hate SnGs atm -> low volume -> can't overturn this sick downswing.

In time when I wanna play tables are reg infested, ideally I can wake up early (CET) when are table soft, but I can't due to RL, another thing which makes my grind harder.

Only the solution is grind more, i know, but sometimes it is easier said than done.
Cash games seduce me a lot, because I needn't push ATC BVB because I have nothing to play or wait if I got suck out with my few playable hands.

Come on man, keep your chin up. Everything will turn around eventually, and everything will be normal again. Just see it as a sacrifice you have to make in order to grow. Because I believe you will learn something from every downswing you have to endure. See it as a good excuse to study hard on your game.

GL!

Hi Duncan,

every downswing has an end somewhere. I kinda realized that it usually ends if I decide that it just ended. Just turn positive mindset, focus on basics and it will turn better soon ;)

I´m sure you´ll be good soon...in the meantime you can earn some zero-variance income with us _thumbsup:

Thanks for the support guys.

Last days I've tried put some solid volume, but still was running badly. It's almost two months when I've moved to middle stakes and each other bad session was more and more soul-destroying (70 BI under EV, no profit). Poker winnings are atm my only source of income, which makes it even harder.

But now I will start with fresh mind. I have to also celebrate my birthday with bottle of Tullamore dew, which I've won at little foosball tourney. Btw my friends had to remind me that I had a birthday. :f_biggrin:

Also changed my time management. I will play at early morning hours again, because tables are softer and because you are fresher in the morning than in the evening.

Interesting session today.
Very bad run at beginning, quite nice later.

Awesome string of good luck between app 6 hands at one table.

I've calculated how many FTPs I have to make to achieve platinum status and black cards and make some sequent short-term goals.

Short-term goals:
1) make in coming 10 days 722 FTPs/day or 543 FTPs/day in coming 16 days to achieve platinum status
2) make in coming 42 days 695.5 FTPs/day or 627.75 FTPs/days in coming 50 days to achieve black card

I've won this HU with starting stack 1350 chips. I had a lot of reads on him post. He PSP almost every board and give up very often after flop or turn, so my plan was float him IP. River help me a lot because he would raise bigger pairs and most of aces pre -> easy call.

Which line you prefer in these spots? He pushes/raises a lot through my limps, so I would slowplay this time to induce and get some credit for my limp stabbing in the future.
on the flop i made protection bet/stab, on the turn let him bluff his draws or maybe ATC floating, on the river simply value bet, but I have doubts about size now, however he called his J, so it was ok probably.

Btw Americans've changed the time due to Summer time? It made me confused when I saw 5 hours difference between ET and CET.

About the QQ hand, if your read is that he raises over your limps a lot then it's fine. I guess the reg thought he was bluffcatching on the river that he called with Q high. But I think I would also bet the turn because the board is so wet and his range is really wide because you didn't raise it pre.

About the americans, yeah daylight saving kicked in a week ago. But coming Sunday the summertime will begin in Europe so I guess it will be +6 again after that. That might also explain why the $36s are loading so slow these last few days.

Hi Duncan, quick question.

What study material here on PS.com do you find good for progress of

a) ST SnG for beginner
b) SnG 27max for advanced player

I mean videos, blogs, strategy discussions. What helped you grow the most? =) thx

I have no expirience with 27 SnG, so I can't help with this.
About ST SnG... I assume he is new at PS and have bronze maybe silver status. He should read all bronze and silver articles, because as beginner he have to gain feeling for the game in general, not only specific informations.
Then he definitely should watch all Phzon's videos (<= link), Steinek's Push or Fold series (+ low stakes sessions), then watch some review/live session from Steinek (link above) or Chenny8888 to see theory in practice.
I didn't read many blogs, maybe <3's blog. But I posted some links in this blog about table selection and ROI
http://jhub3000.livejournal.com/84368.html

edit: If you want some strategy discussion, then search Pzhon's comments, all of them are extremely informative. :) And ofc hand evaluation forum.
