Weekly update no. 122 & 123

Played from 10.03.2025 to 23.03.2025

Hi everyone, :welcome:

Started the week with the $5.50 Micro HR, played ok in that one, unfortunately I did not get any bounties and also I was nowhere near the money places, before I got out when my pocket 7s was no match against SB JTs :f_grin: he got there on the river when he made his flush.

For the rest of the week, I took it slow and mostly I was studying, (had to catch up since I was away the previous week :f_smile: ), but I did play a lot on Sunday. My main focus was the Sunday Storm 14th Anniversary. I did won 11 entries via satellites, but I did played 66 satellites only on Sunday. They really had some nice value satellites. :f_thumbsup:

On the Sunday Storm 14th Anniversary, I entered 4 times, but I couldn't do anything, in the first try, I played it poor :sorry: and that one is on me because I had to many tournaments opened and I did not focused properly, but the rest.... :censored: I could not win with any hands. :why: On the first try I did loose 1/4 of my stack chasing a draw with A8s on a 4T4 flop, and I could not give it away when he raise me on a J Turn, after that I lost another big pot and a good portion of my stack on this hand:

PokerStars - 40/80 Ante 10 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

CO: 20,124 (251.6 bb)
BTN: 6,582 (82.3 bb)
SB: 13,844 (173.1 bb)

Hero (UTG): 6,597 (82.5 bb)
UTG+1: 12,117 (151.5 bb)
MP: 11,733 (146.7 bb)
MP+1: 9,468 (118.4 bb)

8 players post ante of 10, SB posts 40, BB posts 80

Pre Flop: (pot: 200) Hero has A♥: K♥:
Hero raises to 200, 3 folds, CO calls 200, BTN calls 200, 2 folds

Flop: (800, 3 players) 9♥: 7♣: 2♥:
Hero bets 272, CO raises to 1,616, fold, Hero calls 1,344

Hero checks, CO bets 18,298 and is all-in, Hero folds

Results: 4,032 pot
Final Board: 9♥: 7♣: 2♥: 9♠:

CO wins 4,032

After that no hand improvements, until I was down to 15bb and got a pair of 22 in CO and shoved. Got called by a limping UTG with 46s and he hit a 6 on the flop and that was my first try.

The second re-entry was even horrible played only 3 hands until this one: :spit: :mdr:

PokerStars - 90/180 Ante 22 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players

(Pre 26%, Flop 86%, Turn 84%)

Hero shows K♣: A♦:: (High Card, Ace)
(Pre 74%, Flop 14%, Turn 16%)

SB wins 20,724

After this one I re-entered for the 3rd time and started with 62BB, in this one I did got lucky on the first all in AQo vs AKs (2 Q came on the board ) and I said to myself, "3rd one is the one" :mdr::mdr::mdr: Also in this one I did managed to get one elimination bounty. But the exit on this one was after a KJ vs AJ all in, on a J high flop, my opponent hit his full house on the turn and river.....again a runner runner exit.

After that I was contemplating if I should re-enter for the 4th time, because during this whole time I was still playing/wining satellites to get more entries and with around 20 min left of late reg I did entered one more time starting with 12.5bb. But still nothing happened....it was not meant to be :f_frown: ....Here is my last hand of the tournament:

PokerStars - 350/700 Ante 80 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

UTG: 100,117 (143 bb)
UTG+1: 28,304 (40.4 bb)
MP: 18,633 (26.6 bb)
Hero (MP+1): 6,390 (9.1 bb)
CO: 46,490 (66.4 bb)

8 players post ante of 80, SB posts 350, BB posts 700

Pre Flop: (pot: 1,690) Hero has A♣: K♣:
fold, UTG+1 raises to 1,400, fold, Hero raises to 6,310 and is all-in, 4 folds, UTG+1 calls 4,910

Flop: (14,310, 2 players) Q♥: 6♠: 8♣:

Weekly update no. 124

Played from 24.03.2025 to 30.03.2025

Hello everyone, :welcome:

This past week started great for me, I knew that on the weekend I would not be unable to play much, so I tried to get some tournaments during the week. I started on Tuesday ( since Monday is a chill day for me :f_biggrin: ), with a $4.40 Bounty Builder and I played very good on that one, I did make some mistakes towards the end, but overall I did played my A game.

I was unlucky when we where around 100 players left and my stack had to suffer, but I did get to finish into top 100.

Here are some hand that I played during this tournament: This 1st one is the one that hurt my stack a lot....I bet that river because I wanted to get a cheap showdown, I do believe that if I would have check the river, I would have given him the opportunity to bluff with all his range.... and I would had to fold to a 1/2 pot or 2/3 pot bet.

Monthly Update ( Weeks 125, 126, 127, 128 & 129 )

Played from 31.03.2025 to 04.05.2025*

*haven't played for this challenge after SM Anniversary

Hello everyone, :welcome:

I had a little time off from poker after the Sunday Million Anniversary, I felt like I needed a pause. I had a nice "vacation" during the holidays ( Easter ) and I spent some quality time with my family.

Before I took my break I did played a lot of satellites to the SM Anniversary, also I played the Sunday Storm and some smaller tournaments in that period. I did not have any major results, only some small ones.

After that week I closed Pokerstars and took a little break. I did however studied a lot during this period and I prepared for the upcoming SCOOP _thumbsup: ... from the end of this week my focus will be only on SCOOP and GG World Festival. I do believe that my calendar is going to be full this upcoming month.

So the bankroll today is:

Played from 31.03.2025 to 04.05.2025*

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50
Last week Bankroll: $3010.20
Current Bankroll: $2946.50

Profit from last update: - $63.70

Goal: $10 000

Have a great week everyone :gl:

Weekly Update no. 130 & 131

Played from 05.05.2025 to 18.05.2025

Hello everyone, :welcome:

I haven't played that much on Pokerstars SCOOP series, just because the GGPoker series schedule is more appropriate for my work schedule. I did play some SCOOP events this week, but with not significant results.

I played the SCOOP event 22-L and I was playing well, but as you all know luck is involved in poker and my is running out. Truth be told, I do not play that much on Pokerstars this days. I do not want to play the $55 or $109 tournaments just because, when I can play, this are the tournaments buy-ins that I can see, the $5.50 & $11 SCOOP are at a later hour and I work in the morning, so due to this reason I choose the tournaments that I will play.

On SCOOP 22-L I did play good until this hand happened:

PokerStars - 175/350 Ante 40 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

BB: 18,140 (51.8 bb)
UTG: 25,986 (74.2 bb)
UTG+1: 55,238 (157.8 bb)

MP+1: 25,000 (71.4 bb)
CO: 30,060 (85.9 bb)
Hero (BTN): 22,988 (65.7 bb)
SB: 23,830 (68.1 bb)

8 players post ante of 40, SB posts 175, BB posts 350

Pre Flop: (pot: 845) Hero has Q♣: Q♠:
fold, UTG+1 raises to 700, 3 folds, Hero raises to 3,185, 2 folds, UTG+1 raises to 55,198 and is all-in, Hero calls 19,763 and is all-in

Flop: (46,741, 2 players) Q♦: T♠: J♣:

Turn: (46,741, 2 players) 4♥:

River: (46,741, 2 players) A♣:

Results: 46,741 pot
Final Board: Q♦: T♠: J♣: 4♥: A♣:

UTG+1 shows A♦: K♠:: (Straight, Ace High)

Hero shows Q♣: Q♠:: (Three of a Kind, Queens)
(Pre 57%, Flop 35%, Turn 23%)

UTG+1 wins 46,741

Also last night I played the Sunday Storm, I did got one bounty in it, but after I was moved from the tables I did find it hard to win any hands. Here is one interesting and I would like to know how would you guys have played it?
The MP player was a tight player with VPIP 12 PRF 12 from 51 hands.

SCOOP Update

Played from 19.05.2025 to 02.06.2025

Hello everyone,:welcome:

SCOOP has ended and I'm here with my last two weeks of games. This year is a weird one for me, it seems I'm in a bad run on Pokerstars especially on this challenge. And when I say a bad run I mean a bad run, since on other platforms it seems that I do really well. I do think that this can be because I do not play as much as I did on Pokerstars, so it might be the no. of tournaments.

This year during SCOOP I played the fewest tournaments since I started playing SCOOP events. It did not have the same charm for me like in past years. I did however played around 100 tournaments on GGPoker World Festival, so the desire to play is still there. It might be something with me and Pokerstars, I do not find it exciting anymore....also I had some nasty hands this year. I guess this is part of poker too, the part that most won't talk about it.

Since last update, I played the Event 58-L $11 Turbo PKO..... It ended early for me in this hand:

PokerStars - 300/600 Ante 75 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

CO: 7,790 (13 bb)
BTN: 23,305 (38.8 bb)
SB: 55,645 (92.7 bb)
Hero (BB): 35,687 (59.5 bb)
UTG: 38,793 (64.7 bb)
UTG+1: 62,465 (104.1 bb)
MP: 66,001 (110 bb)
MP+1: 28,465 (47.4 bb)

8 players post ante of 75, SB posts 300, Hero posts BB 600

Pre Flop: (pot: 1,500) Hero has A♣: K♦:
fold, UTG+1 raises to 1,200, MP calls 1,200, 4 folds, Hero raises to 6,180, fold, MP calls 4,980

Flop: (14,460, 2 players) 7♦: Q♣: A♦:
Hero bets 10,845, MP calls 10,845

Turn: (36,150, 2 players) Q♦:
Hero bets 18,587 and is all-in, MP calls 18,587

River: (73,324, 2 players) 2♠:

Results: 73,324 pot
Final Board: 7♦: Q♣: A♦: Q♦: 2♠:

Hero shows A♣: K♦:: (Two Pair, Aces and Queens)
(Pre 64%, Flop 69%, Turn 25%)

MP shows 9♦: 4♦:: (Flush, Ace High)
(Pre 36%, Flop 31%, Turn 75%)

MP wins 73,324

I do think I did a mistake by shoving the turn....I only get called by better hands (Qx, and flush) :f_cry:

Two days later I did get a decent result in a daily $5.50 Micro HR, got out after calling a 3-bet shove for 15bb with QJs into QQ :f_mad:

On that weeks Sunday I got home late, but I managed to play the Sunday Storm, unfortunately it all ended for me after 3 hours on this hand:

PokerStars - 300/600 Ante 70 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players

Hero shows K♥: K♦:: (Two Pair, Kings and Fours)

UTG+1 wins 36,338

Again a hand played poorly from the beginning :sorry:

After that not much to say, only that I played my last SCOOP event on Monday and it was the event 126-L $11 Series Wrap-Up. In this one I had some interesting hands played....

How would you guys played this hand? Do you call pre-flop and if you do, what are you doing post-flop?

Hi! Thanks for sharing such an honest and detailed update πŸ™Œ. It’s clear this year has been challenging on PokerStars πŸ˜•, but I really appreciate your realistic take on the inevitable downswings in poker 🎲. It’s great to see you still passionate and active on other platforms like GGPoker πŸ”₯ β€”that shows true dedication to the game πŸ’ͺ. Wishing you the best of luck moving forward πŸ€, better times are surely ahead 🌟. Cheers and keep grinding! ✌️

Monthly Update June

Weekly Update no. 134,135,136,137

Played from 03.06.2025 to 30.06.2025

Hello everyone, :welcome:

Since the SCOOP ended I have played mostly on GGPoker for this past month. On Pokerstars I did play only 61 tournaments in the whole month. I shift my focus on GGPoker since they had some nice events running. I managed to get some nice results there and boost my bankroll a lot.

But Unfortunately that meant that this challenge on Pokerstars had to be in the background. I do enjoy playing more on GG. Nevertheless I did played mostly some Spin & Go's on Stars and some tournaments on Sundays.

Overall the month of June was a very slow one, with only 61 tournaments and a small dip in the bankroll. Probably I will continue to play mostly on weekends here and maybe play 1 or 2 tournaments during the week ( I've saw some tournaments on Tuesdays and Thursdays that looked nice to try ).

That being said the bankroll this week is:

Played from 03.06.2025 to 30.06.2025

Starting Bankroll: T$1000.50
Last week Bankroll: $2919.29
Current Bankroll: $2905.28

Profit from last update: - $14.01

Goal: $10 000

Have a great week everyone. :gl:

If you guys have any input on how can I improve this challenge fell free to let me know. I'm open to suggestions.

Monthly Update July

Weekly update no. 138, 139, 140, 141, 142

Played from 01.07.2025 to 01.08.2025

Hello everyone, :welcome:

Since I'm not playing that much on Pokerstars anymore, I think is better to update you once a month now. Maybe I will update you weekly when WCOOP starts in September, but for now since is summer and I have other thinks in plan, I think is better this way.

For the month of July I played only 71 tournaments, mostly because I did not like what was on Pokerstars. Also I am very disappointed to see that Sunday Million is gone now, :censored: A 20 years historic tournament canceled without a f**** word. :wtf:

Fun Fact: For the first time in my life since I started playing poker, there is a tournament in which I did not win 1 single hand :mdr: I did play only 17th hands on it. I still can't believe that every single hand that I got involved in, until we reached the river I lost it. :sfishy: Here is the last one:

PokerStars - 400/800 Ante 100 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players

I played also an interesting hand on an $11 Sunday Deepstack Tournament. What do you guys think about this hand? Do you call here? This is the 6 hand of the tournament.

Hello everyone, :welcome:

Happy that MicroMillions started. Hoping for a nice series for me.

Here are some results from yesterdays session, I will bring the Monthly update at the end of the month....until then I will post the results. I plan to play daily until the MicroMillions ends.

I have seen some crazy plays yesterday. Still haven't managed to get through all the tournaments that I played but I will come with some hands that I want to discuss.

I think I will post them in HH section during this week. :gl:

Monthly Update August

Weekly update no. 143, 144, 145, 146

Played from 01.08.2025 to 31.08.2025

Hi everyone, :welcome:

Sorry for the late update, I was really busy this past few weeks. :sorry:

Started this past month with some Power Pass $0.50 tickets, I had some left in my account and used them at the begging of the month. I managed to get into some $11 Step 3, but I did not qualify to the big ones. It's a nice practice this steps tickets....I really appreciate that Pokerstars gives 1 a day ($0.50 Spin ) if you played any real money games.

In the second week I played Tuesday the $5.50 Micro HR and finished after about 1 and a half hours of play, with no cash and no bounties. I did play bad in this tournament, but I did had a brutal exit. I shoved 11bb from the BB against a min raise CO..... QQ vs KTs and flop came 33K....and that was it.

I want to discuss a hand with you guys.....it seems I play this multiway pots really poorly and here is one of them:

PokerStars - 125/250 Ante 30 NL (8 max) - Holdem - 8 players
Hand converted by Holdem Manager 3

UTG: 23,985 (95.9 bb)
UTG+1: 25,407 (101.6 bb)
MP: 6,329 (25.3 bb)
Hero (MP+1): 23,510 (94 bb)
CO: 25,000 (100 bb)
BTN: 50,463 (201.9 bb)
SB: 40,024 (160.1 bb)
BB: 30,407 (121.6 bb)

8 players post ante of 30, SB posts 125, BB posts 250

Pre Flop: (pot: 615) Hero has J♠: 9♠:
3 folds, Hero raises to 550, CO calls 550, BTN calls 550, SB calls 425, fold

Flop: (2,690, 4 players) 3♥: 7♣: 9♣:
SB checks, Hero bets 915, CO calls 915, BTN calls 915, SB calls 915

Turn: (6,350, 4 players) J♥:
SB checks, Hero bets 3,239, CO calls 3,239, 2 folds

River: (12,828, 2 players) A♠:
Hero bets 4,362, CO raises to 16,216, Hero calls 11,854

Spoiler

Results: 45,260 pot
Final Board: 3♥: 7♣: 9♣: J♥: A♠:

CO shows T♠: 8♦:: (Straight, Jack High)
(Pre 35%, Flop 38%, Turn 91%)

Hero mucks J♠: 9♠:: (Two Pair, Jacks and Nines)
(Pre 65%, Flop 62%, Turn 9%)

CO wins 45,260

Decent hand for a HJ open, and 4 callers behind. Decent flop also for me, with some draws for my opponents. Now here is where I think I could save a lot of chips if I c-bet bigger ( like 1/2 pot or even more)...betting this low I let almost everyone to call and I would play against a lot of ranges. I think by betting bigger at least I'm "selecting " my competition. The turn is good and bad for me, I now have a strong hand, but also I could be dead by now. So I'm playin a guessing game here against this many players.

On the river I should just give up. I'm beat by so many hands. The reason that I call here is reading the stats of the player wrong....and that is on me.

Next week I started with event no.1 of Micromillions, I played well in that one and on that Sunday actually, overall I played 6 events on Sunday and managed to cash in 4 of them.

I had also on Sunday a nasty little hand, against 2 opponents:

On Monday I played the $11 Special Micromillions, and managed to finish outside the money, but I got $12 in bounties. Also mincash in the $1.10 Micromillion. On Tuesday I did not play any tournaments, but I did played on Wednesday the events 47 and 49 and cashed in both of them.

After that I had a little break, until Saturday when I played the event 89. It seems that in this Micromillion series I always got out with good hands...but apparently not the best :mdr::mdr::mdr:

Sunday the 24th, I played only 2 events. Event 103 the $3.30 9-handed regular, I had a deep run in that one finishing 147th. Also I played the 105 event $11 PKO Sunday Spark, in that one I finished 2001st from almost 13000 entries.

Last week of the Micromillions, I played on Monday 2 events, the $5.50 PKO 8 handed and the $3.30 PKO 8 handed, with only 1 bounty won in the $3.30. On Wednesday I played 4 events:

Also late reg in the $5.50 MicroMillions 8 handed regular.....again nothing.....I know why I late reg, but thinking in perspective I should have taken the day off.

The series ended with me playing the MicroMillions Main Event....I did played only 1 bullet...and decided to end it there after this hand:

I disagree in that we save chips by betting the flop bigger. With such a hand we want to hit monsters. With TPWK multiway we (if at all) just bet small (even smaller than you did) to not give a free card/for equity denial and information but we do not want to build a pot. With such deep stacks I claim, that good draws will call independently of our betsize because of the huge implied odds. Trash will fold to a small bet and it is not unlikly that one of those 3 callers already hit a set.

Turn is really tricky. It improves our hand while we may already are beaten by flop made hands or some improved draws e.g. T8s. On the other hand there are now much more draws out there with still 3 other players involved. I have no clue on what we should do now. Personally I would go small for same reasons as above or just check. Made hands should make action as they are more vulnerable now. On heavy action I just fold (or call only with very good odds for the FH outs).

River looks like a blank but there are some more kind hands that come up to here as unimproved draw in the sense of a monster but beat us now e.g. Ah7h. As played I do not think that villain has a monster and there are not that much worse hands that will call a bet, e.g. 97s (which we also block). Therefor I do not like the bet and would give him the chance of bluffing a busted draw instead by check/calling a resonable sized bet. As played we have to fold the raise I think.

If you want to discuss the PKO hands you have to provide complete bounty information as well.

Hopefully you have run well since your last update :f_thumbsup:

Monthly Update September

WCOOP Update

weeks 147, 148, 149, 150

Played from 01.09.2025 to 01.10.2025

Hi everyone, :welcome:

I decided to make one big update this month since I was mainly focus on playing WCOOP events, I did played only the Low events of this series. I started with a little break :f_biggrin: in the first week of September.

Played my first event on the first day, and I started event WCOOP 02-L with a cash finish... nice start of WCOOP _grin:

After that I played some Hyper-Turbo satellites to the WCOOP 03-L | Mystery Warm-Up | unfortunately I got mad after playing more hypers then I should have and still not qualified, so I ended the night. I am only playing 7, 8 or 9 handed tournaments, I did not wanted to play 6-max or 4- max events, I feel more comfortable playing full ring poker.

Next event that I played was the WCOOP 15 - L $33 Micro HR Bounty, in this one I finished outside the money, but I did get $7.50 in bounties. To this event I qualified via $4.85 Hyper 16 players. I played also along side this event a $5.50 Phase 1-Low, but in that one I played poorly.

Thursday the 11th, I played the WCOOP 26 - L | Mystery Bounty | again I qualified via Hyper-Turbo satellites, and I had to play two bullets in this one, but I managed to get into the money places....Unfortunately no Mystery Bounty won. Players are crazy in this mystery tournaments...they call all ins with any 2 cards. :badteeth::mdr: Also on Saturday I played multiple hyper turbos to this event because if I would won any, I would get T$ instead of $11 tickets and is a nice boost of bankroll that way. I did get 4 more entries worth T$44, I used that to satellite into the next WCOOP events.

Saturday I late reg. into the WCOOP 32 - L PKO , and also played hypers since this was an $11 the $1.65 buy in with 4 places paid was good value. Sunday I started with WCOOP 37 - L | Sunday Warm-Up |, in this one I got out quickly after this hand took most of my chips :

This week from Friday evening until Sunday evening I was away, so the next tournament played was the $11 Sunday Storm WCOOP Edition, played well in this one. I managed to get some small bounties and also finish in the money....but not a deep run yet.

On Monday I played the WCOOP 77 - L, this one was a weird one, I lost with AA, KK, QQ, AK and won with KOs, QJo, QTs, 66 :D.... big hands vs anything I lost, but I managed to min cash...so a W in the end. :transpire:

Next was the WCOOP 84 - L: $11 Micro Bounty Builder HR, in this one I qualified 2 times via hyper turbos, but only after I got out from my 1st $11 buy in....I did get some small bounties, but did not finished into payed places. :f_cry:

Wednesday I played the event WCOOP 89 - L | Mystery Bounty Builder HR |, I played ok, not great....in the end I got only a min cash...

Still on Monday I played the WCOOP 114- L | Series Saver | _grin: , I made it into the money but it did not save my series :mdr:

The WCOOP ended for me with the event WCOOP 121 - L | $22 Final Mystery|.... I played 2 bullets in this one after I qualified via hyper turbo the first time....and the second bullet I just paid the buy-in.

Now this was the Series Saver tournament for me....:f_tongue: I managed to get into the mystery phase, and got 2 big bounties.... one worth $200 and the other one $92.89.....all of them where multy way play. So this tournament saved my WCOOP month this year and managed to turn a profit for the series. :f_drink: :profit:

This past month the bankroll was down, until the end when everything changed......one tournament changed my month. I'm still not happy with the way I played this WCOOP and I have a lot to improve...also I can see that for the past two months I did not studied as much as I wanted, and that I can see in the way I play.

Still room to improve. :pcuser:
