UPDATE: 4TH August Graph.
At least I'm in the green. :)

Even though today was only a increase of $2.08 I feel like I'm going from strength to strength.
Extremely confident at the moment but I'm definitely not going to get my hopes up.
My VP$IP has been dropping by around .80 each day so I'm defiantly playing a tighter game now, more suitable for a SSS.

3 MORE DAYS TO GO before I start playing for a prize pool worth $1,000,000.
I'm really excited.
I've probably mentioned it before in other threads but It's my blog and i'll do what I like, ;)
Tournament Of Champions (TOC) will be the Live tournament I will be participating in on from the 8th of August. It's a 3 day tournament with 10k starting bank and relaxed blinds (most probably 1hr) starting at 25/50 and 1,000+ runners.
Should I be playing any tournament that fits into my bankroll with as many runners as possible?
I will be reading the articles on here on SnG/Tournaments and probably the psychological aspects.

Well I'm off to have a session now.
Wish me luck.
And I'll be eagerly awaiting some reply's.

ToC is with APL? If so read the SNG/Tournament section here before attending.
With just basic poker knowledge and tight playstyle and knowledge from PS my 2 mates have been constantly making final tables and deep into the monthly winners tournaments.
If this is your first live long event i just recommend few basic things gathered from my experience with the horrible poker scene in Newcastle.

Start off extremely tight you will be constantly seeing pots of 1k+ preflop in the 10/20 blind stages. Only play premium hands and try not to mix up 2 much with maniacs there will be lots.

Be mentally ready for an endurance battle. The majority of players who have won toc seats have never played poker for more than a couple of hours at a time. They will rush there game and generally make many mistakes.

Except for this yeh read up on some icm play i guess can really help when they blinds get a little crazy not sure how well it applies to mtt though. And also read up on m-zone or something on basically how much room your have to maneuvere with your chip stack

Best of luck to you

I'm silver again.

I didn't end up having another session, I decided to re-read some articles and watch some video's.
So here is my graph for 5th August. (my first day in the red for my blog :()

Down $1.07 plus another $1.20 for playing a MTT to try win a $5.50 ticket, every 6 players or so win a ticket, it's kind of like playing steps.
I didn't feel like playing SSS so I thought i'd play one of them.

So I'm only $2.27 down for the day, fingers cross I can get back into the green.
Wish me luck.

Haha. OK, well how do I make my signature a link to my own blog?

example, "justkyle88 BLOG" but as a link to my actual blog.

Doesn't seem to be working.
I type in "justkyle88" where it says name of link
AND
where it says to enter the address i have copied and pasted the address of the home page of my blog and it doesn't come up with the link, just the address

As you can see below.

Wish I was good with computers,

Hey kyle,

you need to unmark something in the options when you create your signature to make the link work, should be "deactivate BB ode" imo.

Hey.
Well I have some HUGE news.
here's the out-lay.

Just over 1000 runners.
$1mil in the pool.
Top 100 get paid.
People from all around Australia.
3 Days.
Played for a total of approx 20 hours.

Here's my results:
Cashed $3,000.
Placed 23rd.
Nearly cried twice.
Hit a 2 outer.
Got donked by a 1 outer, (seeing as though I feel it was the best hand I've ever played).
Went out on 5,6o against Q,Q and 6,6.
I thought I was live but I only had 2.1BB and half of that went to BB. :)
I think that was my only mistake, I should of folded and hoped 3 more people got felted in 7 hands then I would of won a total of $5,000. maybe more if I chipped up and hung in there.
But I've learnt so much from it and thought I played the best poker of my life so far.
Huge experience for me.
