December was a great month, as I eased into Christmas. I managed to achieve most of the goals I set for myself, including hitting an ABI of $80+ and clearing $4030 in total bonuses (inc. achieving SN). I ran stupidly well in SnGs, getting close to 10% ROI. HEM is now missing EV calculations for both FTP and (many) PP games so that number is increasingly meaningless...
Cash games were disappointing, useful to rack up points to ensure SN, but a losing proposition in themselves. I didn't manage the 600 games I'd hoped for but I think it's time I stop feeling guilty for the fact my volume is always on the low side. I'm only playing to make money and once there's a comfortable amount for the family, it seems silly to continue playing just to hit an arbitrary number of games when I should be enjoying Christmas with said family. So this month I've taken an unprecedented number of days off and probably won't get back to work properly until tomorrow...

Deciding exactly what the plan is for this year will be difficult. On the one hand I want to get myself established on $200s but since they're basically only running on Stars, the choice of games is severely limited and competition tough. On the other hand I can play $100 fast turbos (or hypers) on all three of my main platforms which gives a nice choice of games. Watch this space.
I also want to get some experience in live play which will mean some trips to Bristol/Birmingham casinos. This is by way of preparation for a possible trip to Vegas to meet up with <3, in time for the WSOP. At the moment that's not yet a probability (~30-40% likelihood?). We have to replace the car this year and pay for a planned week in France in May. Also, I'm going skiing in Austria at the beginning of February (for the first time in 10 years), so financing a week in Sin City will definitely be tight. Fortunately Las Vegas is not going anywhere - although it may be harder to lure <3 out in future years, as he gets settled in with his pipe and slippers...
Finally, I've committed to make a genuine attempt to get my book published this year. I genuinely don't mind whether or not it actually gets published; it's only important that I do all that I reasonably can to make that a possibility. I can't bear 'unfinished business' and at the end of the day it represented a couple of years of hard work. So, I will make at least 12 approaches to publishers (paper/online) over the next 12 months. If that process doesn't have a successful outcome then at least I know I will have tried and I can just print off a copy for my own benefit, stick it on the shelf and forget about it.
For those of you hoping for an annual review, please look here. What can I say? I do things my way.
Good luck all!
