Make sure you watch it. FGS has been talked about for a while now, but I have yet to see a good theory video anywhere on the net about it. Im really proud of it, hope you guys agree.
Looking forward to it. I just watched phzons video here about super turbos where he said -ev pushes are overrated. Btw talking about fgs, have you tried a program called sng solver?
they are misunderstood. i dont think 'overrated' is the right description

Yeah, I also agree that -ev can very +ev. I have some more questions and thoughts but I'll wait after the video, maybe it will clear them for me. Can't wait

i celebrated by getting 4hrs of sleep lol.
yeh shipped 2nd in the $440 semi-knockout tournament for 7.7k. I've discovered im pretty good at these. I think the MTT players really struggle playing short handed and I obv have a lot of experience at different stages of the game.
78 runners approx~ played down to 48 then split into 8 tables of 6 players, 6 winners make $ on the FT. was 6th in chips when we split to the shootout tables. Went to a table with 27k chips, most people had around 10, 2 guys with 15-18. mostly bad players. 1 decent reg (doesnt know me). 1 semi-decent-semi-bad reg (knows me).
guy jams 12bbs UTG 8 handed, i call AK and win,
5bet bluff jam vs the decent reg bvb, he folds. (should have just flatted pre fwiw).
take some nice thin value spots that pay off.
eventually get HU with the bad reg. think its like 3:1 in my favour. he chips up a bit while i feel out his style.
he makes it 2.7x with 38bbs. i 3b K2o, he flats. flop AAT. i cbet less than 3bet size. and barrel the Q turn for another 20% pot and he folds.
last shoot-out hand was kind of cooler. AQ v AJ, raise/3b/4b/c pre. he flops a jack, me running broadway. Oh, we did a deal HU to chop 6th place $. It was -$EV for me, but i really didnt want the variance of losing HU and getting nothing, at least this way I would get a small profit if he ran like god against me.
wait 2hrs for the final table (fml). 1 HUGE whale, 1 giant tuna, 1 VERY spazzy bad old guy (look spewtard up in the dictionary and his picture is there), 1 bad old live player, 1 decent old guy. I draw the best seat on the table.
Start with 96k, 2 guys have 120k rest have 95~. Instantly drop down to 50k after 1 failed 3bet pots and people picking up big pairs and 3betting my opens (plus antes are like 18% 
) . guys are shoveling 80-100bbs in on flops that are 10bbs big (lol). eventually the huge whale gets it in vs the spaz with QQ v QJ on T9xr . K on the river and the whale is out

I double with JJ > AKs for my tourney life in a very marginal spot vs the decent old guy. he 3bet my utg open 2.1x when i have 40bbs eff. I couldnt find the fold and shipped and won.
next the decent old guy loses AA < KK bvb vs the bad old guy and we are 4 handed.
I raise KTo on the CO and the spaz flats the bb. pot is like 7bbs and we are about 50eff. he check/ships TT6 with a flush draw and i hold.
3 handed goes on for a while and I get the key hand in the tournament.
old guy ss has like 20bbs. i have around 55 and the tuna has around 65-70.
i raise KhJh in the SB tuna flats BB. i forget the exact flop texture, but i flopped top pair J and there was 2 clubs with middle cards (think it was Js8cxc). i decided to just check/call down because of the ICM. didnt want to get into a huge pot with just TP2K with the huge edge and the ss. turned another J (bink). check/raised small leaving me 90% pot on the river. he flats pretty quick, river was the 9c completing the flop flush draw, QT also gets there but not too worried about that.
i decide to block bet the river less than my c/r size, i bet 30k into 120k leaving myself 100k behind. he thinks about 4 secs and jams IP. obv i fold and now he has a huge CL with me on 20-25bbs and the other fish on 17 ish.
I pick my spots to steal and keep my stack competitive, the old fish blinds down continuously and he ends up getting it in for 6bbs on the BTN, i tank call 44 in the SB with 20bbs (should have iso'ed). he has KQo and i win the flip.
CL tuna has like 3:1 CL on me HU (i have 22bbs) and we talk about deal, i deny a bad chop and we just play for the 3.8k. first hand he opens 3x i rejam A2o he calls QJo. door is A,.... K...T. turned backdoor FH outs but missed.
really happy with my play overall, would have been cool to finally break the 5fig score and get some sick trophey. I definitely made some small mistakes in a few hands, but I think I changed gears nicely and completely raped all the regs I played with (lucky i didnt play with the rly good ones today).
off to play the 6m in 2hrs. really really love this tournament. hope the good run continues.
