If Alcober had been playing ultra-aggressively, as seems likely, I like Van Tran's call and wish I was capable of making it rather than just considering and then mucking like a wimp.
The hand I didn't understand was Esfandiari's three-barrel bluff, although I'm sure he had his reasons.
I think Alcober (K8s) played it much worse than Tran. But they both still played it bad IMO.
I agree: Alcober's donk on the flop seems fairly obviously bluffy, given the image he quite clearly seems to have, and his river-bet is desperate, representing only a 9 or an overpair and trying to push out a pocket-pair.
