Leak finder update:
Played over 1k games in January already and spent decent amount of hours studying - going over pre and post flop game plan as well as specific hand review.
Lots of work awaits me, several textures that I want to nail down hard and be 100% sure for barelling and calling frequencies. Most important thing is I found my biggest leak in January. Before I used to have that spot with positive 4bb/100 , in January I had it with -3bb/100 ev. So I likely made light pre and post flop plays in such spot. Doubting more in post flop then pre flop plays so will definitely check all the lost hands and write out lines that I should have taken with specific hand and range as well as opponent range expectation in such spots.

Like I said, a lot of work awaits me but I am excited to improve that leak. Also will go over my HU Hypers notes and videos and check if I skipped some important aspect of it. Finally will watch masters analyze HU hypers HH and take notes (have several strong videos for such thing).

How long will all this take? 1 month at least I would say. I will likely study in Thailand in the morning times when my friends are still in bed sleeping
Lets see what happens with this leak in next 1k games or 30ish hours of grind!

Twitch update:

Got back from movies and 9:30pm resuming 2 grind sessions remaining for the day.
I feel very good about grinding, my thirst to put in hours is there while going over every single spot pre and post flop.
Even more excited about future study hours and going over my HU Hypers notes for pre and post flop as well as HH analysis videos and doing them in my own DB.

See you in 40 minutes HERE

Twitch update:

Finished with study session and 2 grind sessions. In the last grind session made huge miss click and not seeing that SB had 1-2bb, I shoved over BTN limp A9 and opponent had AA of course. Besides this, there were some tricky spots and hands as well as lighter calls from opponents. I am more and more accepting that people in reality are light calling vs 3 barrel in spins and that unlike CG in Spins people find it extremely hard to let go of bluff catchers. So bluff to value ratio overall will be adjusted differently and it will take time to implement.
Yesterday in last 2 sessions I adjusted my HU game plan and it gave results already. Today in 2 grind sessions it also showed improvement. My red line is BE today and yesterday in those 2 sessions was positive. Yesterday and today, very low ITM, standard variance type of downswing but despite it, I marked hands that I am going through with range vs range and to finish analyzing them for future spots that may occur.

Rest of the day, 2pm lunch with friends, teaching likely 8pm so remaining 4 hours of grind will happen in between and after 9pm.
I will announce next grind session when I get back from lunch.

Update for yesterday

Studied and grinded 4.5 hours from which 2 sessions were late in the night. I dropped my mouse and it broke! Can't start the grind without it.
Expecting my brother around 1pm to bring me his and then I will get to studying and grinding for the day.

Keep an eye out for Twitch update later with all the info!

Update for today:

Spent whole day in the bed, resting and regenerating.
Lunch and celebration yesterday with friends was great and as usual, day after is hangover fest

Tomorrow, it is my friends wedding. I will likely just study and play 1 to 2 sessions tomorrow if any.

I have spent whole day reading about strategy, mental game, tools, overall improvement in poker. A lot of things resonated with me and in this year I am 100% committed to my poker goals. Improving my pre and pot flop strategy, understanding and clearing all the doubts that I have. Becoming better with range vs range break down while 4 tabling - not to time out!
With that in mind, I was thinking, after Thailand to have 1/7 days per week dedicated to just 1 to 2 tabling and studying more on those days as well - going over optimal ranges in relation to bet sizes. Think that will add extra depth to my game long term as I will increase knowledge and confidence in spots that I want to improve in!

Haha saw that on twitch... always have a spare ready to go my friend! It's a tool that should be in your toolbox.

Don't get caught on a huge multiplier and have to sit out because your mouse buttons are scattered across the floor!

small tip to don't have hangover:
after you finish your last drink(alcohol), drink 2-3 glasses of water(still water) than go to bad.
this trick works on me and all of my friends, it only works if you don't smoke, for some reason it don't work on smokers

...and eat something salty. Hangover often comes from lack of minerals in the body.

Hi Ivicalliev77

Your blog is incredible. I am reading it like a book. Indeed, it actually reads like a book, sometimes gripping, often enlightening and always entirely captivating. Your journey is quite the 'page turner', and I am looking forward to finding out if you meet your goals, and reading about the adjustments and tweaks to may make to achieve them.

Currently - I’m on page 31 - the pressure is on for you to meet your Pokerstars volume/roi goals (after you recently moved to 'stars). Your gym routine has slacked, and your 'Seven Leaks' handwritten sheet is one strategy you have started using to improve your game. My favourite quote thus far has to be "I play for blood always at the tables" (regarding the possibility of bumping into your coach when he switched to your network).

I believe your blog is so worthwhile, that I am including the time spent reading it in my poker study hours total. I have bookmarked many of the resources and videos, which you and other contributors have posted, for later viewing. And the goal setting and personal development strategies, and of course hand examples, do, I hope, make this a justified addition to my study schedule.

You are always very generous with your time in answering the many questions which players pose within the blog. I have some questions of my own which I will post soon, but for now I’ll just say thank you for building this goldmine of information.

Best wishes

Kevin

Hi Kevin,

Appreciate you checking out the blog and finding it useful. As you go through it all you will see different type of progress as well as some sort of stagnation.
Current goals in this year for me are to improve my win rate by focusing on areas where my biggest leaks have been + studying difficult textures and doing range construction on them. Financially wise, I am going for 50k in this year. I think it is possible but it will take a lot of hard work and sacrifice like with anything good in life as well as time!

Feel free to ask questions, I will try to answer them all when I get the chance.

All the best,

Pedja
