Those are very useful, thanks for sharing. I am feeling much better thanks to that baseball for massage and then every training with Sensei we stretch in both warm up and cool down so my back is feeling much better this past week. Tomorrow have another training (will do pull ups there) and see how my back will react to pull ups program. Should be lots of fun!

totally agree with you i think baseball or tennis ball or any other ball its just amazing and from now on will do it all the time,
about back pinching pain have to say that video where you don't bend forward and lay down on you stomach works and only bend backward , that really works and i start feeling better: first day did just few backward bends, mostly lay down on my stomach,
than on second day did much more backward bends, every hour 5-10, and i think it was little too much for me, because today was feeling muscles sore in my back and spend all day with hot pack on my back, but the pinching nerve pain almost goes away,
so i can recommend that method, just don't overdo backward bends at the start and it may also help you back

good luck with game and with girls :f_drink:

It helps a lot for sure man. I do it 3 times per week in training sessions and at home whenever I feel very strong pain. But I do feel much better as I am now 15+ training sessions in with my Sensei and in every session I warm up my back as well as other muscles. I am essentially looking to do some activity (outside of walking of course!) 5 to 6 times per week once I reach very strong form when I can have 3-4 days training sessions with Sensei and do 2 more days on my own (running, sports or explosive hiit). I am however now just enjoying the whole process of working out and returning to my old form. Should take me 2 months likely to get to where I was in October last year!

Which gives nagging shoulder/back pain. And makes it more prone for injury when it actually does have to do something(like pick something up like you did).
I can't make an assessment on how your shoulder blades are moving over the interwebs, but i'd guess they're a bit wonky.(as most computer users have).
I'd add some reverse flies and 1arm bent over rows in your programm if the problems persists.

Very interesting advice Varune!
I will look into it. Wish I can draw you a picture of how I am sitting. Its kinda half laying half sitting with legs up on the table, keyboard in the lap

Still very low volume on 30s while testing various different +EV concepts vs tough opponents and regs:

Can definitely have it higher then 50 cEV which was target in the 1st place. I got many times light called both pre and post flop so 30s are profitable regardless of what happens with RB changes which makes me consider strongly staying on Stars vs moving elsewhere.

Edit: Also on other sites and networks jumps are messed up as it usually goes 20eur straight into 100 euro limit + I am not rolled nor want to play 50 eur games yet without solid profit on 30$ games.

Quick update

2 things
- Weight loss
- 5 am club

Weight loss
I am now in between 85.5-87kgs during this week. My training sessions are getting more intense and I am enjoying every single bit of it. Process and embracing it is something that makes me very calm, focused and in check with life long building habit such as working out, eating right and living healthy.
My goal is to get to 77 kgs by 1st of September already. This way I am applying pressure on myself to stick to eating right amount of calories with proper macros and to follow up with training. Another short term goal is to go to Thailand in 2018 January with 10% body fat. This year I went between 12-13% so I want to improve for next year and go with at least 10% body fat and go for 77 vs 80kgs.
My back is great, baseball massage targeting is a life saver and recommend it to all.

5 am club
Today is 60th day since I started waking up at 5am. Super proud of such accomplishment as it makes way more sense to live my life here in Serbia this way. I don't get tempted to stay out late or go out to bars and clubs get hangover etc. This is super good for productivity and solid habit building.
My studying and improvement has skyrocketed and now I look forward next month to build ginding up even more and set it up as long term habit at least.
My goal is to use 5 am wake ups and with morning routine, have evening one as well and with existing habits attach key things of importance for my poker career and maximizing winnings. So those 2 things are studying and grinding and it is something I am working into my daily habit building more and more.

Yeah, Spins are dead as I am sure you know already Sven
I am right now at 54 cEV 3 tabling 30s. I know I can get to 60cEV by the end of this year with more work on textures and tendencies. Strongly considering to hire DB analyst and coach for PIO/CREV work. Already found 1 coach that I am negotiating with when it comes to PIO/CREV work on textures I have remaining as target in 2017. For DB analysis, most guys have done CG so to explain to them specific stack depths and texture types would take more time then to do it on my own which right now does not seem like a +EV thing to do (to pay thousands of $ for something it will take me more time to explain them what to focus on). For textures however it is certainly +EV investment because coach can prepare all the textures for me, have notes for range vs range, discuss in session why certain hand types are played certain way, discuss adjusting vs different opponent types... That is +EV investment for sure and it speeds up process. I already do this with my best friend when I explain to him textures that I have under strong control and will do the same with my new student. But for me, to crush 30s hard, to improve hourly to 40-45$, I want to do all the textures that create doubt in my mind hence coach investment. Another couple k $ for investing in my education this year, no problem just to pick the right person to do it with...

Investing in Your Poker Education

I want to make this update about ongoing thoughts I have in regards to investing in my future EV.

Since I started learning poker, I have invested well over 20-25k$ since mid 2012 until know. To most of you this might seem a lot but in reality it is really not. Each one of the investments I made was +EV for my development as poker player. Some investment payed off immediately (like work with HU Hypers coach for a month) and some took more time for knowledge to settle (CG sessions with W34z3l, work with different software investments and video packs etc).

In this year, I already invested in my knowledge with my (right now friend as well) Rocky. While sessions and stat comparison helped me and I improved my leaks, I still feel I need to keep going and pushing myself. Areas that I am looking to improve are following:
- Db analysis expert coach
- GTO work in PIO with both GTO and Exploitative/Tendency ranges and play styles
- Textures that I have set as target with emphasis on ones where I feel I am leaking most chips on

Great news is that my game plan and adjusting is making money 3 tabling 30s. I see that, know it and results (on rather small sample) show it. However, I also know that I am nowhere near the knowledge and control I can have over my game and game plans. So with that in mind, I want to keep investing my winnings to improve and become better player. Where will that take me - very likely to 60s and beyond and improve my hourly further - because that is bottom line when it comes to investing in education, you want to see it translate into actual results at the tables.

I have contacted in past several days 2 coaches and before that (in June) another coach. They are all different types of coaches and I feel I have found a very good option for me to keep improving in 2017 and beyond. None of these coaches are doing profit sharing deals so it will be coaching per hourly which requires significant investment upfront but it is in my opinion definitely worth it for future EV.

This week on Thursday I have 1 session with CG GTO expert who is also very good with CREV. I decided to go for 1 session with him, to feel his style of work and see how much that will benefit me. We will cover GTO basics for pre and post flop with different sizings, mdf and atcbet things (to recap my current knowledge) as well as check 1 texture in CREV. From this session I am looking to recap my mdf and atcbet knowledge as well as GTO overall knowledge but most of all see how he uses and suggests approaching textures in CREV. The investment in 1 session is very good price and I look forward to it on Thursday. Will write update after our session to let you all know if I will proceed to work on regular or periodic basis.

2nd option that I am strongly considering to activate requires far more in advance investment but is work with 100s Spins winner and someone who has done/covered DB analysis for 30s and 60s and for investment offers 2 very important bonuses that pay off investment by itself! So again, this is very +EV investment but costs per session close to twice more vs CG GTO CREV person.

I am not saying one is better then the other option but I am considering to try out both and decide which one to stick with in 2017.

My end goal with further coaching investments is to improve to the point where I can take any texture and have visualized exploitative ranges for 30s and beyond limits, on the spot do mdf and atcbet for flop turn and river (different run outs) and to know how to both attack and defend my range in different types of spots.
This end goal will take a lot of trial and error, learning the hard way at the tables but also tons of adjusting and readjusting with CREV and PIO Solver, but in the end after 100s of hours or 1000s, I expect for this knowledge to sink in and that I can comfortably without any doubt have spots covered and be absolutely fearless for any limit of Spin and Go in the future.
This may mean that I need to invest another 5k-10k in my education but if that is the case I think benefit vs cost is far greater then staying in comfort zone making 30-35$ per hour on 30s 3 tabling post RB...

Purpose of this update was to let you know what kind of things are going through my head, how I approach investing and my mindset which is to always aim to improve and invest in yourself as it pays off not only at the job that we do (playing poker for a living) but translates to multiple other aspects of life: higher hourly = less time to invest to make same amount of money = more free time to invest in other things that matter in your life.

So I will end this update on this note:
Whatever your level of knowledge is right now, always look to improve and invest in yourself but do be serious about this and weight all the options before choosing the best one for you. Some of you might go through a lot of trial and error finding best investment for yourself, some might get it from the 1st try, but the idea still stays - you should find ways to invest and improve always as it is +EV thing to do.
Poker is evolving with software and stables that spoon feed people winning strategies. Spins are short stacked game which is easier to solve vs 100bb poker. So to stay ahead of the curve and make great money 5+ years from now, you need to catch up and work hard. Being content, falling asleep and hoping that you will make same money you make now in 5 years is in my opinions very bad and fools way of approaching things. The only way things can improve for you 5+ years from now if USA market comes back and tons of recreational players hit the field and then 5 figure monthly incomes become reality for all the low to mid stake players now. Reality is different however. Games are getting harder every year. People are working harder and smarter. More tools are making it easier to catch up with knowledge and solve the game. Accept the current reality, deal with it or don't.

My goal is to make from poker and music in next 5 years 300k which includes all the investments in real estate, business(es), liquid cash, BRs for poker and life and automation. I am aware that I can get there faster then in 5 years so I am taking NOW all the steps I can to get there.
You guys have probably different goals then mine and whatever your goals are I suggest you map it out and figure out ways how to get there - it will be driving fuel for your passion and energy to follow up with it all.

Hope this update did something for all of you reading it.

Hello IvicaIliev77,

Welcome to the final Supernova newsletter. Our new loyalty program, Stars Rewards, has been launched successfully in Denmark and Italy and will be rolled out worldwide in July replacing the current VIP Club and VIP statuses.

The PokerStars VIP Club launched in 2006, and we’ve been rewarding players for their loyalty ever since. There are too many milestones to count here, but we’re proud to look back on Bertrand ‘Elky’ Grospellier becoming our first ever Supernova (and Supernova Elite) VIP, ‘Quadchrazs’ earning SNE in a staggering fifty-two days, and multiple players reaching the previously unthinkable milestone of earning 10 Million VPPs. Having said that, a lot has changed over the course of eleven years, and the online poker landscape is a different place now which needs a new program that better serves our diverse customer base.

There has already been some speculation about the mechanics of Stars Rewards, so I’d like to take this opportunity to clarify some aspects of the new program.

• The value of StarsCoin will be unaffected, and you’ll continue to receive them in Chests with other personalised rewards. The VIP Store will become the Rewards Store and will continue to offer the same types of items as currently. It can be accessed from the ‘My Stars’ tab on desktop and mobile
• Reward Points lead to Chests. There’s no cap on the number of Chests you can earn in a session, and no obligation to open those Chests within a session as your progress carries through. You’ll have three months to open any given Chest.
• The number of reward points you will need to earn to unlock a Chest will be based on your personalised profile and determined by a number of factors. These factors include volume, game affinity, and deposit / withdrawal ratios and can change from time to time based on recent activity.
• You’ll earn reward points regardless of which of our products you play - Poker, Casino or Sports. High-stakes cash games will still be the exception to this.
• Boosts double the rate you earn reward points for a fixed amount of progress. When you complete a Boost, you’ll receive a new one eight hours later. You’ll also receive points every time you open a Chest to kick-start progress towards your next one.
• Chests (there are six types) will have a publicised value and probability table which will be displayed on our webpage. In addition to the publicised value, there will also be additional value with regularly added top prizes including big cash prizes, packages to live events, or exclusive physical items.
• The majority of our players only have time to play a few times a month. When they do, every session gives them the opportunity to receive instant, personalised rewards and the chance to win big. We believe this to be more engaging and motivating than monthly / annual targets that are unachievable for most.

The significance of these changes, as well as the end of the VIP Club era, isn’t lost on us. On behalf of the PokerStars VIP Club, I’d like to thank you for your loyalty. The staff that have been supporting the VIP Club will be transitioning to the Stars Rewards program, and we’re excited about the challenge of providing a great program. It is our sincere hope that you’ll continue to enjoy playing on PokerStars for years to come.

Don’t hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.

Regards,

Dylan

PokerStars VIP Club Manager

What can I say except let's crush game harder pre RB and become GTO machines.

Couple of things:

- Weight loss
- Session with GTO Guy
- Accountability/Assistant hire

Weight loss
I decided today to do that extreme Tim Ferris way from UFC fighters to do in next 1 week. My birthday is in exactly 9 days from today (not including today) and I have now between 86-87kgs. I am positive in next 9 days I can drop those 6-7kgs using only 50grams of carbs, focusing on protein heavy meals with intermittent fasting and while using water flushing starting with 8l of water 1st day going to no water on day 6. So this I did in January before Thailand trip and I didn't train at that time so I dropped probably 5-6 kgs in less then a week and I felt fine (didn't affect me mentally, didn't feel hungry etc). The difference is that now I have heavy training sessions and I will during these weight loss manipulation have 3 training sessions as minimum (Fri, Mon , Wed and my birthday is on Fri when I will likely train again!). So look forward to this experiment again, quite enjoyed it back in January.
For the record I am doing it to prove to myself that I can do it again and to keep improving my grit and completing on things I set. It will be fun ride and I will update weight results each day, starting with weight in tomorrow 1st thing in the morning.

Session with GTO guy
I just sent a word document with questions + 3 texture suggestions for GTO CG guy and also made payment for the session. I look forward to covering GTO basics but most importantly I look forward to see how he does his analysis and study in CREV and if there is time we will go through PIO solver and discuss some texture that I have ready already. Should be lots of fun, tomorrow noon time!

Accountability/Assistant
For July to keep on track with grinding, I decided to hire assistant who will call me 4 times per day via Skype, enter my computer via team viewer, see me start grinding session and then call after 1 hour just to notify me to cool down tables. I am very much looking forward to this experiment as I am doing it with my best friend and besides doing it for grinding we will both use daily 15 minutes studying towards the end of the day just in PIO focusing on super specific spots. I will of course pay for this my best friend to make those calls (its better to give him money then some unknown Virtual Assistant) but I expect great things to come of it - most important thing I expect is rebuilding the habit of solid grinding which prints money.

Final note on June and some May.
Since I payed off all my rents, dad's pension credit, already saved money for Phuket/Thailand, payed off my training sessions in advance with my Sensei - I feel somewhat in vacation mode when it comes to playing poker BUT!!! On the other hand, all the other important things in my life are looking very solid. I have spent a lot of time past 2 months coaching as well as working on my own game (doing DB analysis on 30s, going through my HHs, checking my stats and creating different game plans) and then outside of poker I have taught guitar and music on regular basis and my training is going very strong and well while I am about 70% satisfied with my eating habits (I end with lots of cheat meals with ice cream) and while I still lost weight, I could have lost more. My waking up at 5am is awesome, going to bed also. I also implemented 1 more system and am forming daily habit for it for past 2 weeks, so I am really happy how that is going as well.
Only thing I am missing in my daily schedule and as a strong habit is GRINDING. So with that said, that will be the key focus in JULY which will also be very interesting to see how I will perform since my birthday is coming up and that (from past experience) takes at least 3 days of celebrating with family, best friend, other friends, some girl here and there you know... So key is to do accountability with best friend and pay him for those calls to see me start my grind sessions but while maintaining laser strong focus on other ongoing strong habits such as regular 5am wake up and sleep times, coaching best friend and another student, working on my own game on my own and with Rocky, teaching guitar and music lessons, working out 3 times per week, eating right amount at specified times per day and another habit that I started implementing past 2 weeks which I look forward to extending until Phuket (late January 2018) at the very least!!!

So that is all for this update.
Expect in future update things update extreme UFC weight loss (6 to 9 days update daily) and impressions about GTO CG guy session. After this in July watch out for accountability with my best friend for grinding. I will look to put in at least 100 grind hours due to my birthday and Partizan Belgrade playing champions league qualifiers (will likely go to Belgrade during those games!!!).

Enjoy your week and remaining of June on and off the tables!

Session with CG GTO Guy

Today I had session with GTO CG Guy. I have mix feelings about how it went but overall for the price vs what I got out of it still consider it a good EV.

In the session we covered things that I already knew but also learned new things.
Highlight of things that I got most from was:
- Bluff to value ratios post flop on EACH STREET. Before today I had very strong understanding for RIVER but OKish for Flop and Turn. Now I know EXACTLY how to construct correct value to bluff ratios using math formulas and what factors to exactly consider (for factors I was sure as well).
- CREV new things. Got to see 1 new cool feature which helps if I ever decide to switch from PIO to CREV. I still prefer PIO because I can select EXACT hands and combos much faster in node locking vs CREV. However, with this CREV feature I learned today, creating game tree and solving it takes far less time IMO which is good for GTO calculation but not ideal for EDITING later.

Things I reviewed in session (wanted to check my knowledge on):
- MDF (minimum defend frequency) as well ATC profitability for different sizing's pre and post flop
- Range vs Range using CREV from GTO perspective 25bb effective. This I did using DB analysis + CREV sometime in December last year. Still it was useful because I got to see very similar strategy and hands to ones I am using which is cool.
- Post and pre flop range construction. My thinking process is very solid as CG guy confirmed all the adjustments and "leaks" tendency on 30s or bellow show.

So overall for the price I am feeling OK with value of the session but overall experience decreased due to audio dropping, session flow and Skype freezing screen sharing. Without these things I think I would have been trilled with session but still it was +EV investment. Math approach to bluff to value ratio on each street + new CREV way to run things alone was well worth it.

For now, that is all with coaching. In July my goal is to get another 2.5k games on 30s and then with this simple decide if I will take 10 sessions with 100s reg on Spins or not. It also depends on profit during next month. If I run with EV and make decent amount, I can see myself investing, if I BE or loose post RB I will of course not take coaching yet.

Extreme "UFC" Weight Loss Day 1

This morning when I woke up at 5am I weighted myself and I had 85.7kgs. So in next 8 days including today, I look forward seeing what my weight will be by 7th of July. My expectation is to drop at least 5kgs.
Today I ate my standard meal which contains a lot of protein (200gr of chicken + spinach and tomato and green salad). Also ate 5 eggs and 1 tuna Rio Mare. Took 2 coffee's without milk. So this totals 1102 calories using MyFitnessPal app.
The most important thing about this extreme UFC method is to eat up to 50gr of carbs per day, drink a tons of water (8l goal for today, already drank 4!) and to avoid milk and such products. Protein and fat is welcome but not carbs.
So for today, including everything I mentioned above I have 41 gr of carbs which is awesome, 116 gr of protein (my overall goal is 111 gr of protein while dropping weight outside of this challenge!) and 49gr of fat (49g is set goal for weight drop with 1419 daily calories.

Football today - betting picks
Remaining of the day I will drink 4 more liters of water and watch football games from 6pm all the way to 10:30pm. 1st game is my team Partizan Belgrade playing friendly vs Kopenhagen at 6pm. Then at 8pm and 8:30pm there is 3 matches, all teams from Serbia playing qualifiers in UEFA Europe League.
I am considering to bet some single (lower amount like 10$ or so) for team from Malta to surprise Red Star. It seems like a very +EV because Red Star changed 4 players in their team, played like shit in short time during preparation period, didn't win games vs far weaker teams in friendly games past 2 weeks, they have a new coach vs team from Malta who is underdog, has ex Italian national team player Coach, have mafia guy running the club, have tons of foreigners (from argentina, brazil and italy all playing in MALTA!!!). So the odds on Red Star(Crvena Zvezda) to win are 1.05 or so which is such a wrong way to set the odds considering all the things I told you are going on in the club. Odds on draw is like 8 or 9 and for away team to win is 17. So I will likely bet 10$ for draw and away win as this game tonight can very well be upset due to Red Star having lots of problems, no time to prepare and new players that need time to learn to play together...
Another single that I am considering for larger amount is on Mladost Lucani vs Inter Baku. Odd on home team to win goes from 2 and up. They are 1st time in Europe and finished in Serbian league 4th. Their coach is really good and knows how to GTO his opponents and plays GTO defense as well. I read couple of days ago that Inter Baku has problems. Owner not paying salaries on time, 4-5 players from 1st team leaving the 1st team... So overall feel is that Mladost Lucani will have somewhat difficult game but they should come on top and win 1 or 2 goals margin. I will consider betting here 100+$ as it is my standard betting amount with bankroll considerations.
Also, considering to bet on Partizan or double chance for Partizan to win or draw vs Kopenhagen. Team is now almost completed, everyone wants to prove to coach how much they are worth and Kopenhagen is type of opponent that awaits Partizan in 3rd and 4th/play off round of Champions League Qualifiers. So they will not fuck around, they will play tough and they will leave their heart out on the field. I will consider to put 50-100$ here since its friendly and it can go either way.

For lower investment in system 2+3/3 games I suggest Partizan 1x (if they are home team 1 if away then x2), Red Star x2 (double chance on Flora) and Mladost 1. This I would bet 50$ as maximum and it has really good return EV as whichever 2 bets go through you will be in huge ROI.

Good luck and enjoy the games :)

In regards to betting

Bet on Partizan vs Kopenhagen 5000 din on 3.05 = won
Bet X on Red Star game 1000 din = lost
Bet 2 on Red Star game 1000 din = lost
Bet on Mladost 6000 din = lost
Total invested 13000 din
Total won 15250 din

Lots of unlucky circumstances for Mladost and of course for team from Malta which made penalty in 45+5th (50th minute!!!) of stoppage time, got red card and changed the course of the game.
Regardless, ROI of over 15% today on betting, not bad and certainly something I would take any day of the week.

Extreme "UFC" Weight Loss Day 2

This morning at 5am my weight was at 84.9kgs!
Today ate my favorite meal again (200gr chicker + spinach and salad with tomato and green salad). About to eat 200gr more of chicken and tomato with cabbage salad with minimum oil. When it comes to other things I drank 1 gallon of water and had very difficult workout. All this comes out to 974 calories with 40gr of carbs, 139 gr of protein and 28gr of fat.

Feel a huge craving to eat ice cream today but I will hold it!

July targets and life things

Today I arranged with Phuketinho this accountability calls for grinding through out whole July. My target is to put in 100 hours on 30s 3 tabling as minimum since my birthday is on 7th and that will likely be day off as well as days when Partizan Belgrade plays games (11th and 18th). So 25 days of 4 hours grinding in those days is target.
Great thing about this accountability is it will speed me up to start my grinding + most times I choose are repetative which should make habit building easier and steady.
Study wise, I will on my own, also with Rocky once a week and then outside of studying I will coach Phuketinho and my new student. It should end up with 15-30 hours of coaching + minimum 10 hours of study (half an hour per day in PIO + stats checking).
Outside of poker, training 3 times per week which takes about 7 hours each week due to traveling to training and actual work outs so 28 hours per month.
Keeping up with calorie deficit (after I finish UFC weight loss method) to 1419 calories until I reach 77kgs after which I will go to do tests and check my overall body composition, body fat and all the other health results.
Teaching guitar another 16-20 hours per month as steady ongoing project.

It will be very interesting to see how other life things will get in the way of poker grinding goals. My expectation is that birthday will set me apart some days and very likely some dates and action with 1 or 2 girls. Still, I want and I will aim for minimum 100 hours of grind. Energy levels will be super interesting because I will grind 3 times per week right after coming home from training (that will be trigger for grind habit as well - attaching grind to already existing habit!). I am very curious and will test how I will do mentally and focus wise in those sessions. After some trainings I feel like train ran me over and all I want to do is lie in bed and relax while after some I feel rejuvenated, relaxed and with energy feeling that I can take on or do anything.

So that's all for July targets and life things.
I will strongly consider treating myself if July goes well with targets set and hit to go to NYC for 2 weeks from 10th of August or so. The ticket + whole trip will come out to about 1.5k$ in my opinion but I think it will be super cool reward system because it will allow me to enjoy my hard work in July and show to myself to even more depth beauty of living true rich life concept in my book.

Hope your June was great and wish you great July all!

To do list for today:

- Grind 4 sessions at times set
- Teach 1 guitar lesson
- Eat less then 50gr of carbs and hit my protein goal
- Drink 4l of water
- In the evening probably meet with ex gf (she is back in town)

I weight myself at 5am and now I am at 84.1kgs. Rapid weight loss with water flushing is working of course.

Good luck and see you at the tables today :f_love:
