Just wanted to know because when I read your reply's you make it sound that you have +roi pre rakeback. Same like you keep talking about your "stable" and how good coach you are when you hardly beat games after rakeback, just saying.

As a staker, Ivica has to either coach horses or pay for their coaching, and will of course stick to the former option as long as the horses are fine with it

This is very true!
If I had tons of interest for coaching then I would hire extra help. But to me honestly this doesn't make sense cause if people want to study with me its unfair to hook them up with coach other then myself cause I trust most myself as we all do
The guys that I coach now were with me from total beginning and they stick with me cause they know how much they improved. I look forward to see what they will be like by the end of this year pre rb on limits up to 11 euro/$ microgaming.

Just responded to SirTradeAlot, tomorrow hopefully we will get to play the matches on Microgaming somehow - still not sure how it works there , but look forward to it a lot!

1st of all, my ds for the month is now over, I am finally in profit pre rb in February It took over 1.2k games but it was worth it to have great day today.

How do webcam lessons work? Do you DI into the com, or have a mic pick up your amp? Do you record it for the student, as in poker?

A thing that puzzles me is. Where is all the dead money coming from at $15 and $30 to support all you sharks? I'm thinking that some guys taking a shot from $7, will drop buy ins, but only a few before going back down. I wouldn't have thought there would be many total fish playing them? Only guys from a reasonably high national economy would be playing $30 as a hobby or even $15's. Or are there enough degens to support everyone?
There is recreational players in every limit. At least upto 200$ I can say from personal experience. Table selection just starts to have more weight higher you go.
Plus the distinction between fish and regs is not that black-and-white... I'm doing OK at €20s due to the abundance of weaker players, but €40s must be gathering around me 
(though, strangely, it doesn't seem so). Or, rather, it's better to say 'around us' because some regs are still thinking that my different SNs belong to different fishes, despite the obvious similarities in manners (alas all my SNs started minraising buttons instead of 2.5x-ing at about the same time, I should have rolled this out with delays).

How do you table select at 6max while your attention is already full with playing, and the tables must fill up fast? I thought multitablers of say 6 tables + , shorthanded tables , would use have to use tableninja to sign them up to the number of tables they want?
There are plenty of separate legal autoregistration tools for Stars (likely FTP too, Google them obv.), some of them are smart enough to recognise recs by your colour coding. On iPoker etc., colours aren't shown in the lobby, so it's technically harder to make a table selection tool, and not worth developers' effort anyway because the fields are so small that you'll know all the regs by screen names. (In my case, I even know many of them by real-life names ♦)

There are students that are looking for quick fix tricks and there are ones that are looking for every possible way to learn how to exploit and readjust to different opponents.
Most students fall in the 1st category and most coaches also teach tricks rather then concepts (it takes a lot to actually make program from zero for each student and teach them everything).So, if most students are not hard working but are rather looking for quick fix solution, why should I as reg or any other reg worry about playing those guys in future?
Excellent thought provoking post, that I've been debating all night. I must admit, I expected a few "tricks" from my poker coach, that would hopefully pay for his fee, within a month or so. And I'm thinking of guitar lessons when I heard
" A good lesson is one that I took away something that I could use straight away"...............By Danny Gill ( I think), of lick library. I liked that concept.
I realize the disciplines don't compare well to each other in some way though.
I think you are right in a longer term coaching deal. But in a shorter deal, coaches should maybe just please the student?

Webcam lessons are done via Skype or ooVoo. I have headset that picks up voice and guitar sound from the amp amazingly without trash or buzz. It took me a while to find such a set but you would be surprised that it costs less than 10 euro! All the expensive ones pick up voice but background is super low.
I used to do video guitar lessons also and that is basically recorded guitar lessons. Student contacts me, fills in questionnaire, we exchange emails and arrange what areas student is interested in improving in. He then makes the payment via PayPal, I record the lessons 30-60 minutes long and upload them on my password protected server where student only gets the access for the download. I also provide them with backing tracks, pdf's and guitar pro files + notes from the lesson.
It was great doing those but then I went to the cruise ship for 1 contract, came back and from 14 students I was left with 4. That's when I said to myself enough surviving and getting by, lets give this poker a try and make a good living to have space in my life for music stress free.
I like to think I am more and more close to that goal day by day.
Eventually I will have more then enough money that I will do music full time again, play poker part time but part time in a sense that I still make 1k a month minimum and not stress about things.
