Day off today, so I spent some quality time with the kids playing Snail Bob. Snail Bob is SpongeBob's pet snail Gary's cousin. Good fun.
Had a weird session tonight where I started on a real heater, then got set up a few times, then had to change one table back to 50c/$1 because there was only one $1/$2 table running (decided to try $2/$4 once I have $600), then thought 'This just isn't my night. I should stop', then thought 'That's bollocks. There's no such thing. Am I unhappy with any of my decisions? No. So I play on'. Ended up $5 down after 400 hands, which was OK. Lost more than that at the 50c/$1 table. My win rate at 50c/$1 is half that at $1/$2, which makes no sense at all.
Tomorrow I have meetings at 10, 11, 12, 1, 2 and 3, and then lecture from 4-6. Ffffffml. It's my daughter's 5th birthday tomorrow, so I'm going to tell the students and knock off early. Hopefully they'll go 'Ooooh! That's so nice.' and before they realize I've short changed them, I'll be long gone. ♠_evil:

Yes, we already decided I should have 3bet pre, and probably that SB should have 3bet pre as well. I suspect you were off watching the rugby when that conversation happened.

Against unknown I would probably fold pre as a 3B will often be AA+ which doesn't give you the odds to CAP, and I would think not give you the odds to cold call either.
I think the only reason to CAP would be if you knew BU was loose and capable of bet/folding pre, and that SB was solid enough to have the same read and capable of making an iso 3B. Here you can put pressure on the SB, get BU to fold pre and play in postion post draw with all available info. Pretty specific spot though.
I can't think of a good reason to cold call here ever.

Lastly, did you not notice that there are no Maths staff anymore in the area near where the box is situated ?
I am copying your Personal Tutor so that he can remind you where the coursework submission box for Maths is now located. Note: it is not here in Physics Building.

Just exchanged PMs with EVGalois, and it seems that he's makng a video based on interesting hands over lots of sessions, so, fingers crossed, I won't be in it.
Played a long session and booked a small loss last night. It's been a frustrating few days since my big upswing. BR keeps hovering around the $500 mark. I'm concerned I may have moved from the region marked 'bluffcatches at appropriate frequencies' to the one that says 'Huge Station'. I definitely need an adjustment there, and I also need to adapt more to the other players. There was one bloke last night who never folded. I picked up the hand I use to 3bet semi-bluff with and went ahead and 3bet him and then cbet. Oh dear!
I haven't been running terribly well either. On one table I was sat to the left of a bloke playing 48/8, which is code for 'limp any pair, raise anything better'. As predraw strategies go, this is not without flaws, and even I can work out how to exploit him, but still I couldn't syphon off his stack. I think mrsjb needs some tlc over the next couple of days, so I may not play much, but you never know.
Number one son is going to Alton Towers today with a friend to go 'Oooooooo!' and 'Eeeeeeeeee!' whilst whizzing around. I went with him once. It was fun, but I don't really have the urge to do it again. Maybe I have an adrenaline deficit. Anyway, this involves one and a half hours there and back twice for me and mrsjb working in shifts. Wtf were we thinking when we said yes? Being a parent is a bit shit sometimes. As long as he's happy I suppose it's OK. Pffffffff!
