Aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh!
Is not the biggest tragedy in British football the fact that Wayne Rooney is English and Gareth Bale is Welsh?
Some player, picked him for my fantasy football team on SkySports along with Van Der Vaart. Was it Harry who signed him or Ramos ?

I think it was Jol actually. Spurs should never have sacked him!

Ahh Martin Jol. I remember thinking it was a bit steep at the time for such a young defender and ranting in the pub that spurs had bought a £10M free kick taker. Looks like I was wrong

Only if you're English. And even then I would have thought the bigger tragedy is with the folks at the FA appointing the coaches.

Why is it that I never have any idea what you're talking about any more?

@Moderator: Is there any way of banning Arsenal fans from my blog?
yeah nice game inter - spurs, too bad inter stopped playing in the second half, guess would have been first double digit victory in CL
Plus obv inter keeper had a bet placed on bale scoring some, so sorry rafa
But guys, we are missing the whole northern misery, as one club suddenly found out players want to ship some moniezz too. Can't really get what the fuss is all about, rooney is playing football for money and admits it, what's the big deal?

Yes actually. If you admit you secretly love Arsenal, then all Arsenal fans will be insta-banned from this blog. It's a little known function built into the forum software. Only downside is the blog implodes in a cloud of it's own logic.

See jb, what'd I tell you about New Zealanders?

I bet chenny's an Arsenal fan too.
Of course, having grown up in North London, all of my old school friends are either Spurs or Arsenal fans, so I am more tolerant than I appear.
And thanks for the sweat last night. If you're that lively at 7am, I hate to think what you're like in the evening. Just make sure you set your alarm properly next time, or you'll miss my amusing downswing again!

After some delay, have finally realized what you're talking about!
There's nothing wrong with Fabio Capello. The problem is that English footballers are overpaid prima donnas who shouldn't need help to be motivated to play. They're playing for England ffs! Wankers all.
EDIT: I think I'm going to have to tone down the football content of this blog. Just remembered it's meant to be about poker. Must try to take it more seriously. As it says in The Poker Mindset, 'too much football is bad for your poker', 'watching Spurs lose 4-3 may cause you to tilt and make bad calls' and 'something else bleeding obvious'. Honestly, The Poker Mindset is just a load of completely obvious psychowank, imo. Small edge = high variance, yes, yes, yes, I get it, now fuck off and leave me alone Mr Hilger! ♠_evil:
EDIT 2: I think the fact that I have just realized that I've agreed to play chess on the night that Spurs play Inter again has put me into rl tilt!
In point form, so that I don't have to think about connecting a loose collection of thoughts in some artificial way... by connecting a loose collection of thoughts in an artificial way...
i. I didn't write the forum software. The whole "Arsenal loving" thing is just a feature.
ii. ATM I WISH I loved the Arse. And I understand the gravity of that statement in all respects.
iii. The Coach jibe was random stick poking at the gorilla in the cage, 'cause I'm mean. Personally I suspect English football fans should just add a dose of reality to their expectations.
iv. "The Poker Mindset", like most psychologicamal stuff, is all pretty obvious IMO. The thing is, most folks miss the obvious (myself included), so having it laid out like that allows us simpletons to understand what we already know. When I first started out I was a bit of a psychology article hater, but subsequently I understood that sometimes we need to be reminded of the obvious. For example, getting upset at running under EV.
v. It's your blog, anything goes! Poker insights an additional bonus IMO.
vi. Always listen to Buck.

Lol. Waiboy catches numbered-lists-disease.

One of my friends is a season ticket holder, and bought a house 200 yards from Highbury. Maybe he wrote it?

Dare I ask which team/body part you do love?

I expect little and am rarely disappointed.

If you play poker as a hobby, surely part of the fun is being able to whinge about running under EV? I will not let Matthew Hilger spoil my fun.

I think 'poker content' is probably the most I can aim for.

I've never encountered levels of intelligence in Arsenal supporters capable of even preparing numbered lists, so I'm not really sure TBH.

Love is overstating it (football was a girls game in New Zealand until about five years ago so anything past support raised questions). And yes, you dare. I'll let you know which team if they ever win anything ever again, at which time I will sing their praises in the manner of fair weather fans everywhere.

I now see what you and mrsjb have in common.

Fair point, and as a hobbyist I'd stare clear of anything reinforcing the harsh realities of poker as well. Sick f'ing game.

With the plethora of Monty Python, drunken teen, mrsjb, student, chess, Spurs tragic content I can see why you missed out on the sniper team and had to settle for maths geek. And long may it continue sir!
vi. Always listen to Buck.
Obv.
LDO. Watched (most of) "Hot Fuzz" again the other night too. The NWA reference has to be the awesomest thing ever. Laffed till I cried.
Some poker content.
This is mainly $6.50 turbos, with the odd random $2.25 turbo and 6max or FR super turbo idly tossed in.

Heater -> Downswing -> BE => BR = $840
Since I have PT3 I have no red line, but....

God knows how they calculate this, and I don't really care, but it does suggest that the downswing did happen because of some shitty cards. I feel fairly confident with my game atm, especially since I started getting more aggressive with a big stack (thanks ICM Trainer!).
But my volume is just rubbish (or maybe I just talk to Boris too much).
One more day of the Take 2 promotion left to get my free $25. I'm even in profit for Rush FR NL10. Graph tomorrow.
EDIT: Badly want to see how long I can make the quote-train-thingie, but will resist the temptation to do it now as it is bedtime.
Finally finished my nine little mouthfuls of FR NL10 Rush to get the Take2 $25. Managed to make about $35 in about 500 hands too.

The more eagle-eyed amongst you may notice that I was pretty much on EV apart from one huge jump in the middle at about 210 hands, which I'm not terribly proud of.
